A great image Gary, of a scene that we just don't have down here. Your compositional use of foreground, midground and background elements bring great depth and interest to this image. Congratulations on a great job. |

Thanks for your comments Debbie. The first time I went back to this location after the floods was very sad indeed. I never thought about photographing the devastation back then, when it was at its worst. |

A great image Nelson. As mentioned above, those shadows provide a superb base to the image and lead us all the way in. I wonder how many people would have walked right past this viewpoint and not thought about taking their camera out. Very well done. |

Love this image Debbie, your use of the elements in the scene are great. I don't know about a boat, a croc on the river bank would certainly get discussions going. |

A great image Phu. Well composed, processed and presented. I have never even thought of using an IR camera at night. |

Thanks for your comments Dave. It's always painful to do sunrises at our beaches, as I have to walk out our front door at 3:30am to get there for them. But while shooting them, it's worth the effort. I will take more notice of footprints in the future. |

Congratulations on a superb final image Ray. And that's what it's all about, the final image. Your composition and use of the elements before you was spot on. This one should be hung on a wall in your home. |

A great image Dave. While I acknowledge Butch's comments and alternate version, I prefer the "natural" feel of your image. Sorry, but I'm not interested in competitions that lead to one image being better than others. I agree with Ray, we are all individual with our own personal preferences. We are a diverse group, all with our own thoughts. None of us are any more right or wrong than the others. But back to your image. The simplicity makes it, to me the story is about the vastness of this location. My only concern is about two dust spots in the blue sky, which become even more prominent in Butch's version. As Sherry knows very well, my two pet hates are crooked horizons and dust spots. Other than those dust spots, congratulations on a great image. |

A very strong image Butch, and yes, rainbows wait for no photographer! Like the others, I agree, more even lighting with no shadows on the near foreground would have been good, but we can only go with what's in front of us at any given moment. We can't control the weather or the elements. Well done Butch. |

A superb cityscape Sherry. While I don't mind Butch's version, I also think yours is perfectly fine. Great use of foreground, midground and background provide good depth and the buildings themselves give our eye much to wander around and look at. Maybe you should wander around Miami a little more often. The Sony won't be too heavy. |

A great image Gary. The simplicity of the scene make it stand out and the pano format also lifts it out of the ordinary. Great tones in B&W. Also, congratulations on your elephant image in the members showcase, another stunner !!! |

Thanks for your comments Trey. We also took many photos of the walkways that are just "Leading Line City", even bending their way around corners. Maybe in a couple of months I'll submit one of those. |

Thanks for your comments Jay. Funny you mention Star Wars, as we were walking along the passageways, that's exactly what we were thinking. And lines everywhere you look, they even bend away from you leading around corners. I might submit one of those in a few months, let's wait and see. |

Thanks for your comments Gordon. These stations are those locations where it's really hard to take a bad image, no glaring sunlight, just choose your time if you want not too many people, or the masses of commuters. |

Thanks for your comments Henriette, a good number of photos were taken that day, both at the platforms like this one, plus some of the general walkways. |

A great image Trey. Well seen, captured, processed and presented. The low viewpoint is excellent and I hope your knees didn't complain too much about their return journey to the vertical position. As the others have mentioned, going to B&W is a great choice, forcing our attention onto the vehicle itself. I hope you took many photos of the other vehicles at the show, as they appear to be classics from yesteryear. |

A fine image of the distant city Jay. I do like Gordon's version the best, but remember, your image is the base that the others were built on. I enjoy the way the city is basically in silhouette which gives an element of mystery. |

A good strong image Sanford, well captured with a long lens from a floating boat. I agree that the tern seems to be offering this fish to its mate provides a good story here. I also agree that there is a sizeable amount of blurred foreground that does not help the image. While you have done a good amount of cropping from your original to get the final image of your choice, I personally feel it would be even stronger if some of that blurred foreground was also gone. That way our eyes would not have to climb over it to get to the terns. But still a very good image. |

In my humble opinion Group 76 rocks!!! In any given month we see such a great diversity in our craft of photography, from architecture in all its glory to its smaller fine details, nature, night work and astro, macro, sport and the list just goes on. This image Henriette is just eye-catching and as mentioned above, deserves to be made big and hung for many to stop, see and admire. Your capture, processing and presentation are all superb Henriette. Congratulations. |

Another simply stunning image Gordon. From your composition, time of capture, method of capture to final presentation are all superb. 10 seconds works beautifully on the water, while the clouds have not streaked too much and lost their detail. Balance of natural and artificial lighting is first rate.
Congratulations Gordon on another simply superb image.
