35 Apr 25 Comment Well seen and well done Lauren. This image has much to see and find. It's one of those images where you can find more images in the small details such as just the left section of the farmhouse and the tree. I use Silver Efex when I want to convert a "normal" colour image to B&W, other than that, profiles are something I have not dabbled with much. Apr 20th
35 Apr 25 Comment A superb image Nelson. It always pays to look up. Great composition and viewpoint. I particularly enjoy the way you have the glow of the sun just peeking out from the side. Apr 20th
35 Apr 25 Comment A wonderfully composed image Tatu. Those clouds are amazing. I agree with everything Debbie says, this is a superb image. Very well done. Apr 20th
35 Apr 25 Comment I love the pastel colours in your final image Debbie. Your use of the elements in the scene and general composition is also very good. One small concern I have though is that it "appears" to not be level, especially when I look at the shed and child's play structure. Are they at an angle possibly because we seem to be looking down on the scene from a raised position, and that's affected the verticals? Other than that minor detail, this is a really good image. 73 Apr 25 Reply Thanks for your comments Sherry. So many times I go out to shoot a sunrise or sunset, but the clouds or conditions are just best described as very ordinary. But when they do come together, it becomes a very happy experience. Apr 18th
73 Apr 25 Reply Thanks for your comments Butch. Shadows, highlights, texture, clarity and a few other things are all standard items I address in my processing. I'm one of those people who believe "less is best", so maybe I don't go as strongly with them as others might. We all see and do things differently. Apr 18th
73 Apr 25 Comment This is a superb image Butch. Great composition dof. I particularly like the painterly effect. Very well done indeed. Apr 18th
73 Apr 25 Comment Congratulations on a great image Sherry. Yes, one of the strongest purposes of our photography is to provide memories. Iceland is one of the countries I would love to visit. Photographically, this is strong in all aspects, composition, angle of view, positioning of the elements before you, exposure and of course, your removing of all those "distractions and unwanted elements." You should be very proud of this finished image. Apr 18th

76 Apr 25 Comment A superb final image Trey, resulting from your concept with the 10 stacks through to your processing. Good strong vibrant colours, great composition and removal of distracting
un-necessary elements. Congratulations on a great job.

76 Apr 25 Comment A great image Jay with good use of the colours we would expect to see in Arizona. Some people might comment on the empty sky and suggest replacing it with another one with interesting clouds, but I'm not one of those. If you have a clear sky, that's fine by me. Others could also comment on your subject being in the center, but again, that's fine. I feel this type of scene would also work quite well in square format. In your original, we can see the moon in the sky, it's just a shame that it's not in your final image. Still a great image that inspires me to try and visit Arizona. Apr 20th
76 Apr 25 Comment A superb final image Gordon. I know many photographers down here who would have just given up in despair. I'm glad you didn't give up, but chose to work around all the challenges. As John Lennon said "There are no problems, only solutions".
Thanks for sharing this great image.

76 Apr 25 Comment When this image came through to me, there was no commentary about it, so I will comment on this image as I see it. It will be a good exercise for the others in the group as well. The story for me in this one is the diversity of trees in the environment, their differences is species, size, shape, colour and texture, particularly in autumn. Well composed, although I'm not sure if the partial green tree in the background right adds any positive purpose. Use of light, together with a neutral overcast sky as a background is effective.
