Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
35 Jun 24 Reply Thanks for your comments Lauren. A this is a very local cemetery, I can and will revisit it again. Jun 22nd
35 Jun 24 Comment Well done Nelson. The sharpness you have maintained in the closest flowers to the right and then throughout the scene back to the building is great. Jun 22nd
35 Jun 24 Comment A very strong image Lauren. Not much more I can say. Congratulations. Jun 22nd
35 Jun 24 Comment I love the mood of this scene. It gives emphasis to the cold location, season and location. Thing only thing that concerns me is the "something" on the roof of the barn. A sign on the side is appropriate but those items on the roof should be cloned out. Other than that a very fine image, well done Tatu. Jun 22nd
35 Jun 24 Comment I don't mind the dark sky at all (sorry Lauren), but I do agree the contrast seems a little heavy. Would that make this image feel a little cold? Your composition and use of the elements in front of you is very good. Well done Stuart. Jun 22nd
35 Jun 24 Comment Debbie, are we on the same page this month, peering through trees? You have used foreground and background elements her to bring good depth into this image. Composition is good, but I'm not sure about the toning. Not saying it's a bad thing, the jury is still out for me on that part. But still a fine image. Jun 22nd

73 Jun 24 Comment As always Peter, you've presented us with a superb image. Your capture, using the elements before you for a strong composition, processing and presentation are all first rate, as usual. Congratulations on your consistent high level of photography. Jun 24th
73 Jun 24 Comment This image is great on its own merit Gary. I'm going to play devil's advocate, but I believe our craft of photography is all about and revolves around the image. While titles can be of use, to me, they are not the be all and end all. The image is. Your image portrays to me a cold and harsh season and environment. The snow and fog covered mountain assist tell this story of bleakness. The elk, even though they are small are a very integral and important part of your image and provide a sense of scale like nothing else can. The story of this image to me is all about big cold mountains and a harsh environment, where only suitable wildlife live at this time of year. Very well done indeed. Jun 24th
73 Jun 24 Comment A great image Butch. Time of day, use of colours all assist to show me a view of The Grand Canyon that is different from all the others I see. Congratulations on a job well done. Jun 24th
73 Jun 24 Comment A great image Dhananjay. Very well captured and presented. I'm the odd man out with this one, those branches are part of the scene and as such don't bother me at all. That's one thing I love about our photography, we all see things differently and have different opinions. In my humble opinion, the only person a photographer has to please is him or herself. You should be very proud of this one. Jun 24th
73 Jun 24 Comment Dave, like Sherry I'm so jealous. Of all the things in my photography bucket list, the aurora, or northern lights is number 1, every time. You've done very well with the foreground, considering you weren't in Iceland. You should buy a coat and scarf and go there. Great image and use of the colours before you at the time of capture. Good on you. Jun 24th
73 Jun 24 Comment Never been to Africa or any part thereof. I fully understand all the hand of man talk, but I also like the inclusion of the table and chairs as they add to the humanity of this image. Somewhere for someone to sit and enjoy the scene before them. Although you are not personally responsible for the sunrise colours or the mist, you have handled them extremely well. The colour palette and peaceful mood of this scene is to be applauded. A fantastic image Sherry. Jun 24th
73 Jun 24 Reply Thanks for your comments Gary. Sadly, above the waterfall was nothing, just more trees and shadows. Yes, using the log as a foreground element would also work. Jun 24th
73 Jun 24 Reply Thanks for your comments Butch and I fully appreciate where you are coming from regarding photos within photos. In this particular case, I prefer to use them as a foreground element in the image, rather than just have them as a photo of two rocks. Jun 24th

76 Jun 24 Comment Congratulations on a very strong image Trey. I fully agree with everyone's comments, particularly Gordon's about that ghosting. Early morning usually produces good side lighting effects and you have used that very well here. A great job. Jun 23rd
76 Jun 24 Comment This is the kind of image I expect to see hanging on walls, in offices, reception areas, corridors and galleries. Great subject matter, colours and composition. This is a very soothing image to study and I also like the way Gordon has highlighted some of the details just that little bit. Jun 23rd
76 Jun 24 Comment Sanford, this is one of the best images I've seen you produce. When I first saw it, I just thought wow. You've nailed this guy's character, the weathered face, the skin, the angle of view, the hand position and even the cigarette. These all contribute very strongly to this image. Others have mentioned about a little more light under the hat. I'm undecided, yes it would show more of his eyes, but at this moment I don't feel the shadow detracts from this image. But that's just my opinion. Jun 23rd
76 Jun 24 Comment A fantastic image Jay, congratulations. Your ability to capture a good original image is the basis for your ability to present your final image. Your tight crop is really strong and definitely the way to go, concentrating our attention on your chosen subject. B&W or colour, both would work equally well in my humble opinion. You have chosen the one which you prefer and that's good. Very well done. Jun 23rd
76 Jun 24 Comment To me Sophie, this image is all about strength. In the lighting, the performer and the photographer, who was able to handle all the constantly changing conditions. As always you have captured one of the peak moments in the act and tell a good story through your photography. Very bravo. Jun 22nd
76 Jun 24 Comment Gordon, this to me, is studio work at its finest. When a model and photographer work together and are comfortable in each others company, the results will always be outstanding. I acknowledge what Sophie says about the hand, but I see nothing wrong with it as it is, but yes, small details like that can make a difference to an image. Your thought processes regarding image capture, processing and presentation are exceptional. Congratulations. Jun 22nd
