Congratulations on this captivating image Anita. Your treatment has taken a strong "original" portrait to another level. The cool tones speak of mystery and mood. A bit like looking into her room from outside. Such a strong image. |

Simply stunning image Matt. You've maintained the colours beautifully and caught the setting sun at the perfect moment. The construction of this image is great, even when I scroll it up on my screen to make it a pano by loosing the bottom third, or even a bit more, it does not loose any of its strength. |

A great image Sanford. Exposure is spot on, given it appears the birds are lit from slightly behind and to our right. Sharpness in their detail is very strong. Very well done. |

You have handled the contrast in this scene very well Jay. The bright light on the fence on the left side and the foreground are not overdone, while the shadow on the barn's roof tells us that the facing wall is in shadow. You have managed to keep adequate detail in that wall rather than have it almost plain colour. Well done with the sky replacement, that is one of many things I am yet to try my hand at in processing. |

Thank you Trey, yes I was a little heavy handed in my processing to draw some rock detail out, that resulted in some ghosting around the edge of the rocks. |

Many photographers I know would walk past this scene and not even picked up a camera. They would ask "What is the point of interest?" "What is the story here?" To me, the story is the coldness of winter, the muted colours help set the mood. While the eye does not have a definite item to lock onto, the general woodland area and colours help contribute to this image. |

Compositionally this is a very strong image Heide. The tones and textures of the flower are very good, but how could you increase the separation of the bloom from the background? Then the petal edges may appear more definite and defined? |
