A stunning image Peter. I love the angle of view, the composition and of course the colors. The wind turbines don't really bother me all that much and I like the "solitude" of the barn. Very well done indeed. |

Great image and construction Debbie. I agree with the others regarding the tightness of the trees, but you were there, we weren't. I don't know what is outside the sides of the frame that you might have tried to omit. I try to shoot a little on the big side, so I can then crop to get the result I prefer. You haven't told us the focal length of your lens so even though zooming out a touch might not have been possible, maybe just a step or two backwards? I would also like to see just a touch more detail/texture in the center clouds. But still a great shot. |

Superb composition Matt. I really enjoy your use of the foreground tree and the distant tower. They also give a nice balance of natural and man made. It would be very well used as one of your holiday cards. |

Janos, the two top things on my bucket-list to photograph are the northern lights and Machu Picchu. Regardless of it being one of the most photographed locations on the planet, I never tire from seeing images from there. Everything about "Your" image is great, depth, colours, presentation. But a favor please, next time you go back there, take a 9 shot pano, just for me. Just as you have taken this one but with 2 more on either end, show me even more of the "environment". |

Thanks Trey, yes there wasn't a lot of interest left of frame, just open ocean from memory. |

Thanks Heidi, I am rather fond of pano's. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. |

Sanford, if I could ever afford one, that would be my first and final choice for a ride !!! But the image? I love it. The way you've warmed it, straightening the car, utilizing the oncoming traffic for interest all work well together to lift this image. Very well done. |

Great capture and processing Trey. I like the warmth you have brought to this image and your usual processing in Topaz has produced the bokeh you wanted in the background. Well done. |

Your sharpening of the lighthouse Jay is great. Polluted water, I would have never known if you hadn't mentioned it. One thing I am concerned about is the colour of the sky, it looks un-natural to me. Too blue at the top and too pale at the building level. Can I ask what you did in Lightroom to add some colour to the sky please? Some people might ask why you chopped half of the right hand side building off? |

A great image Heidi, but to be perfectly honest, and I see that as my job as admin, when I first saw the right hand side I thought "What has she done???" but the more I look at it the way you've presented it, the more it grows on me. Colour vs b&w? Makes little difference to me as there are only a touch of green and pink in the original. Will other viewers say it's a little "heavy" on the right? So what if the left is balanced? I'm just thinking out loud. The composition and crispness of your image as presented is great, but I'm just offering an option to please the masses. What do you think please? |

This is a superb image Jorn. Presenting it in b&w is also helping it in my opinion. I'm guessing you photographed this image looking into the fashion shop window with the other buildings in the reflection, (writing is backwards). My thoughts are all positive, but I will just list them in point form: 1. no people = desolation, abandonment, a deserted city; 2. b&w = no distracting colours, cold, foreboding. 3. composition (angled) = depth but still emptiness. 4. the story = something bad has happened her & people have fled. Will they return? Congratulations Jorn on a very thought provoking image. |
