There is always debate about wasted space vs negative space. Yes Steven, the fog does make me ask what it's hiding. Sherry is right that the pole in the middle could be considered distracting, but they are what we find in cities or towns, and always next to roads. I feel another image is also there.
As the sky is just a plain area of color and fog is fog, what about cropping the top off to loose say the blue and top third of the fog? To me, the resultant image has a little more impact. But still a great image, after having to wait for 2 weeks. Well done. |

Great image as we expect from you Peter. The tree on the right is an unbelievably strong foreground, but I hope you didn't give it the chop to improve your image. Great depth in the image. |

I like the colors in this image Tony, particularly the blue in the sky & mountains. The silhouette of the trees & very mono impressions of the foreground grasses give the image a very cold feeling, quite rightly. I have tried picturing this with less foreground and making it a panorama, but I can't find a clean bottom edge that does not have some grass popping up from out of frame. I trust you also got some shots from about 10 feet to your left & also 10 or 12 feet straight in front as well. Having said all this, it is still a fine shot and has me reaching for a jumper. |

Great use of selective cropping to produce a panoramic image David. Time of day for the capture is just right, giving good detail to the lights & buildings while maintaining good colors in the sky. An excellent image. |

Yes Sherry, that power line really did have to go, no argument there at all. I like the way you have lightened the tree detail on the right hand side. Mist always does enhance an image when handled correctly, it usually brings some nice mood into an image. Well done. |
