As Sherry said, painting the arch, the foreground and the rocks on the left with a torch would provide a different image, and with a 30 second exposure time, the effect could be great. Jan 16th

However I must ask, in the bottom right quarter of the image I see a series of straight lines (4 of them) converging near the center of the image. What are they? Fractures in the ice? Just curious. You can all have a good laugh now and get it out of your systems. I'll be back next month. Your image Tony is great and I salute your "What you see is what you get attitude". But we all look at the same thing differently. To me, this image is just crying out to be made into a panorama, the same as David's from last month. Not changing any of the elements in the image, just focusing the viewer's attention onto certain elements. Have a look at David's December 2017 image. There are elements in your image Tony, that while they do not detract at the moment, I feel with some healthy cropping, the resultant image would be a stunner. Jan 16th
