You are most welcome David. I'm a firm believer in the "image within an image" thinking. Nothing wrong with the original at all, but there is often another one in there just waiting to be found. |

No climbing involved, just a walk of about 2 miles from the carpark along the path going along the ridge. Photo was taken from a lookout. I have some other images taken on the day looking along the valley from left to right as you view this image. Perhaps in coming months I will put 1 up for discussion. |

A very dear friend of mine, a professor of fine art photography once said "All artists, at some time, must suffer for their art". Thank you for sharing this result of your suffering Tuhin. Absolutely wonderful. Over saturated? I'm undecided about that. If you loose some of the saturation, you might just also loose some of the mood. Oh, my professor friend also said "It's not the camera that makes the image, it's the heart, head and hands of the photographer that makes the image". |

A standout image Peter. I love everything about it, the pastel colors of the sky and mountain in the background, the whispy clouds, the haze and aspens in the middle ground and the detail in the grass in the foreground. Well done. |

A great collaboration. And a great effort to include the pine needles for framing, however I feel they may not hold enough detail, and just result in a silhouette shape. My eye does go to the yellow tree, but sadly, doesn't stay there for long. I don't think it is dominant or strong enough in the whole image. A panorama would be a great option for this image. |

Wonderful sunrise David. And pointing your camera always produces great results if the conditions are right, and for you they were. While you have cropped out the distractions from the base, I must admit to having a great love for panoramas, particularly 1:3 ratios (6x17 in old film language). So I would like to see another alternate image, cropped up to near that shadowy dip about 1/4 of the way up from the base, keep the horizon down below the center then the top somewhere above that cloud on the right. Just a thought about "an image within an image". |

Love this image, particularly the pastel colors in the sky and the reflection. If you don't have clouds on a particular visit, you just have to do the best with what you get. While it is great in landscape format, my humble eyes also see it very strong in either square or maybe portrait format. If you crop out up to the tent on the right and a similar on the left, leaving the lake centered, the mountain on the left is gone. We are then forced to concentrate our attention on just the matterhorn and its reflection, which is a strong "alternate / additional" image. Just a thought. |

Thanks for your thoughts Tuhin & David. This location is about 2.5 hours drive from my home, so a re-visit is possible, but the weather conditions can never be guaranteed there. Clear & sunny at home, but could be raining there. I may get the chance to try my luck again in the first quarter of 2018. |
