love the composition and the subject. I think the editing is a little 'crunchy', some of the water is over exposed and a little too crisp. The drone is a great way to shoot places you literally can't get to! |

Hi Mike... i'm late to the party here, but I agree with the other members of the group, the bottom part of the night shot, would be nice to use an image earlier so there is some detail in the surrounding area... less yellow light perhaps. The sky replacement is great, looks natural. |

Very nice serene image... not including the 'wake'... but definitely a nice sunset shot. Would love to see more from your boat! |

Great shot Lou! great lighting on the Butte and yeah, the sky is blown out, as they said, always hard to remember to do it all.
I like the grey in the rocks and the foreground, gives an other-worldly feel, like it's on another planet. Add some little green men in for effect... |

Great image Pete... sorry, looks like I forgot to add the title when I uploaded...
I think the composition is good... leading lines take you back to the center of the photo and the mountain... I do think there is too much sky, you could probably crop down right above the mountain. |

I went back on looked at your December 22 shot... which did show all 3 domes nicely. Richard had a great take, to make it vertical and highlight the flag for Memorial Day. Some great light that day too. The top down look might not be safe for work lol, but you should try it! |

thanks Richard... yeah, not sure how I got to 3200 ISO, I missed that somehow. NBC does use drones for TV sports coverage. Just did the US Open in Pittsburgh and they used a drone for live golf shots, it is really a great addition to the show. But that isn't my job with them, I do computer graphics and stats... |

I went back and looked at your photo of this basilica... now that I know what month it was! Very cool, with the fall colors... I wish I had more time there! |

Thanks Lou, no need for bad karma here! And the reason why I do have such a hard time finding place to fly, I don't want to get yelled at! |

Drema, I know, I was so close to you, but believe me, with the rain and the long hours, this was the only 10 minutes I was able to get out. And I was late to work in the process! I thought you had shot this before, but I didn't look that far back in the photos.
I didn't drive up around the actual basilica, I would have loved to go in, but most days we were at work before it opened and after it closed. I should have stopped in the lower lot or found a trail. |
