Welcome Julie, I too am looking forward to photos of New Zealand... I made it as far as Australia in 2000/01, but not to NZ yet. Hope to some day!
Great image, love the sky and the reflection in the water. Nice edit to get rid of the foreground trees...Drema's comment about the half-cropped boat reminds me of the adage "check your edges", which is something I forget to do half of the time also.
Welcome! |

Great travel image, always wanted to go there and sing the song that is now stuck in my head too...
I kind of want the image to truck/dolly left to put put the corner at a more extreme angle and to get that lamppost off the edge of the logo... or to truck/dolly right to put the streets on straight angles. Nice height to clear the trees that are there. |

Beautiful image, I would have loved to have my drone when I was there. I love seeing the garden in the upper left, it is so beautiful.
I see the reflection in the water of the castle and was wondering if you had any shots lower of just the castle and the water and the reflections? |

Looks like a fun event to participate in, I'd love to drive those Jeeps around. I liked the idea of an odd number of cars and the building in the upper right was distracting to me.
I did a little crop to show my idea. For everyone reading this, feel free to show your ideas and your edits on the photos too. |

I really love the color of the sky and the earth in your photo. I do feel like I am skimming along the earth towards the distant butte like Julie said... The far mountain on the right might be in shadow, but it is distracting to me that it isn't the same coloring as the far butte.
It's a different visual of Joshua Tree than I remember, very nicely done. |

What a cute little gazebo tucked away in a grove of trees. Nice setting for an intimate gathering. I agree with Pete about getting rid of the bits of white concrete that are showing.
Did you have any shots with the drone lower in height? I would like to be able to see inside the gazebo and maybe the surrounding trees wouldn't take away most of the focus. But just my thought, as it stands, your photo is lovely. |
