I remember this collage from last year, this is definitely an improvement… I'm not reading the other comments, so if I repeat I apologize. The oil painting feature feels a bit strong to me. Until I read your notes and looked closely at the photo, I thought it was digital noise. Maybe only on the vase and the watch, and less on the background? It also feels like the watch should have the dial resting on the ground, instead of sticking straight out. I would try the edit myself, but my computer and PS are not playing well together right now. |

when I looked at your photo on the group page, I thought it was a bird on garlic, thinking how funny there were 2 garlic photos and 2 bird photos. So looking at it by itself, and it is neither of those things. Crazy how our minds fill in blanks when we don't know what something is.
I like LuAnn's edit with the black frame and vignette also. Blurring the background in camera would also be a good choice for next time. Not much more original for me to add to what has already been said. |

Such a cute little gator! Just makes you want to cuddle them… was mama gator around? I agree that the left side was distracting and that Kieu-Hanh's edit helps out a bit with that.
I had a nature photo disqualified because of man-made grass. But this grass is in the water there, so not sure if that would be the case. Nature division is very hard core with their rules. I have entered a lot of competitions and not had good results with nature ones. Good luck! |

Great capture of the Penguin. This has been a very educational thread about penguins and eyes and wildlife photography. I want to go back and look thru my many penguin photos now and see what I have. I'm sure nothing as good as this. Plus being from Pittsburgh, Penguins bring me joy. |

Great still-life again, you have a knack for that. I also didn't know that garlic could be red, cool. I like the golden spiral explanation and I can see that in this image. I was concerned about the space on the right and bottom as well. I'm sorry, I don't remember which camera you use… it has a focus-stacking option in it? |

welcome to the group Janos! So many opportunities with this plaza! I used to have a Spark, 3 different ones to be exact lol, but it was a great little starter drone. It feels too me like this photo is tilting to the right a little bit, not a lot. And I like Lou's idea of looking directly up one of the streets to the center of the plaza would be cool. |

Very nice panorama Don, love the seeing all the paths all over the place. I agree with Janos that the original sky wasn't that bad, the purple sky doesn't fit with the light on the land. |

The look of this photo is tremendous, the colors are vivid without being overdone. This is a great perspective on this site, I was there last summer. If I'm back for work this year, we should meet up!
My only wish is have the drone a little bit more to the left to see the full set of docks, and maybe crop off some of the emptyness on the right. |

Thanks guys, yes, not my best outing, but I was happy I got the new drone in the air for a little while. I struggle with flying around people and I'm usually alone on my trips. Plus I wasn't aware of how many areas in Puerto Rico are off limits to drones because of flight restrictions. I really need to get my Part 107 test done. |
