Great shot of these homes… I think I've taken this shot, and have no idea where it is lol.. I'll have to look them up. I do like getting rid of the people, and a sky replacement is a good idea too. Another angle on this view may be get lower, see the porches and only the very tops of the city buildings? |

Great image and story. Must have been an exciting cruise too. I don't mind the white buildings, and I like the edit of the water. But the clouds seem a bit dirty to me, although it does match the rest of the photo, but may just be a touch dark for my taste. But not a big deal at all. |

Very interesting mushroom… what are those black spots? the bokeh background is very painterly, and it looks like the top of the mushroom got a little of that edit. It feels like a little elf should be living under that cap. |

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the image! And sorry to disappoint but I was unable to go to Beijing to work the Olympics this year, because there was a conflict with the Super Bowl, so I could only work one event this time. I did go to Beijing in 2008 for the Summer Olympics, and really enjoyed it. |

I use the phone with the DJI fly app. It works pretty well, but I would like the controller so my phone is accessible. But the cost as you know is a little high for me right now. I do think it would be better though. |

Thanks for visiting our group Stuart. Drone flying is addictive as you know. I have the same drone as Pete, the DJI air2s. It's probably the lowest priced one DJI has. I used a DJI spark before, you may be able to find one of those used and get some practice in on shooting photos. The camera isn't as good as the Air2S, but I got some really good shots and a couple won awards and acceptances! |

Hi Don, this is a nice little slice of suburbia and the dark sky does give it an ominous feel. I like the saturation of the sky and clouds, but I agree with Lou that it overall a bit dark… |

Great shot Pete…. You always seem to get the best overview images. I haven't flown my drone enough, but so far I do like it a lot. I have the Sony RX100 also, and both provide great images in small packages. Would love to see that dronie (drone selfie) from the top! |

Thanks Pete…. I did post a photo of the coaster a few months ago, maybe last year. I have some other shots too, but I liked the abstractness of not knowing where this is. I like the shadow idea, hopefully there's a next time! |
