I wasn't criticizing your attempt at using that filter, I don't have that filter so I don't know what colors it comes in. Just after seeing it in red and yellow, that particular filter doesn't have the same effect on this photo as the other photo, to me. |

Great old truck! I like your edit to bring out the details in the truck, but as others have said, I think the truck is competing too much with its surroundings. Maybe if you have a different composition from that day? Focusing more on the truck and less where it is, although the barrels help with the story.
Maybe a layered edit in PS that lets you defocus the background a bit more and have the truck stand out... but don't ask me how to do that!

I love the woman and her boat... the bridge is intriguing but I think the bridge and sky and the water need some pop. A tighter crop would help get to the subject and still tell the story. |

I actually think this is such a sad story... I hate to see animals left alone, they have no idea when their owner is coming back... it hurts my heart. I hope the owner wasn't in there too long!
But... the photo is cool, tells a story. I like the black and white and the dog in color, but the sign does look photoshopped in, I would keep that in b&w also. The flag doesn't stand out in color, I had to look for it when you said it was in color too. I think those things compete with the dog, which is the subject of the photo to me... |

Very nice abstract photo... I can't get the idea of someone walking thru it with the lights, but I believe you lol! I feel like the top colors could use a little reflection to connect it to the rest of the photo, but maybe not. It's cool! |

I love the texture and it has a beautiful painterly feel. Is the original the end result of the focus stacking? I have no idea how focus stacking is achieved... (I understand the concept but have never done it) |

Haha nice try! I don't love the red and yellow on the hats as much as it worked on the last photo.... I would imagine the hats in pastel colors, ala Miami Vice... |

Thank you for your great comments... The original photo is a lot more hats and straight up and down, but I liked the tilt and giving the impression that there are more hats in every direction. That's why I left the little bit of the hats on the top and bottom... to give it that feel. |

I am amazed at the quality of the iphones too... even when printing. I try to use the LR mobile app so that the photo is a DNG, but I don't think I did that with this one. The original photo is a lot more hats and straight up and down, but I liked the tilt and giving the impression that there are more hats in every direction. I like the idea of colorizing it, maybe use that filter that Luann used on my photo last month.
Thanks for your comments! |

Great shot Don, I agree I wish I had access to the coasts also. I love the light on the shoreline on the left, and I would go so far as to cut off all of the foreground to focus on that, and keep the islands in the background in frame. just an idea. |

Very cool, very spooky. I like the fog, adds so much atmosphere and mood to the church. I agree with Don, you look pretty close to the steeple, especially in that fog! How close do you think you were? I probably would have crashed it... |

Nice shot Bob... I would like to see the front of the tombstones to read the names and dates and imagine the stories. That might be a little distracting though come to think of it. |

Thanks for your comments Bob. Yes the controls can be controlled on the DJI Spark... I just have to remember to do that! I need one of those checklists that I read about all the time. I should have upped the ISO to get more light and get a faster shutter speed and be able to open up the aperture more. When I find a place to fly, I like to get up and shoot and get out quickly. But I need to check my settings better. thanks for the reminder! |

Hi Don, thanks for your comments... the drone was almost at the limit of 400 ft... and it was late, past sunset, so I lightened it up quite a bit. I will work on the walkways thru the trees... |

Thanks Lou, I didn't even notice those walkways.... I'll have to go back and try to darken them. |
