3 Sep 20 Reply Hi Stephen,
I found 9 frames for this composition, only one with water. The one I submitted is the only one with out people on or around the man or the stairs. Here is the water one for comparison. The shot before this one, the man has his head resting on his arms on the stairs, but there are other people in it, and it's out of focus. Oh well! Thanks for the walk thru my Paris photos!

3 Sep 20 Reply Ruth, I like this edit, and I agree that the man is the subject of the photo and he is positioned well there. I agree about cropping off the top... it is where the proof of Paris is, but it works well without it. I'm not fond of the square crop.... I need to see the bottom of the stairs for perspective. He is small in the frame on purpose, for a surprise when you think you are looking at just an architectural shot, then there is life! Sep 25th

3 Sep 20 Reply Thanks Stephen, I will have to look back in my archives to see if there is a shot with water, but I don't remember offhand. Sep 23rd
3 Sep 20 Comment Very interesting mushroom, stuck in the tree like that. I think the colors look natural, but I like the edit in Original 2 because the mushroom in the background isn't as distracting to me. Sep 23rd

3 Sep 20 Comment Nice grab... the birds are great. The horizon seems just a bit too high on the left, but otherwise the photo is great as is. Sep 23rd
3 Sep 20 Comment What a fun shot! Love the colors and the blue sky and the fact that there isn't anything distracting in the background. Nice job! Sep 23rd
3 Sep 20 Comment Great shot of mama and baby, however I see their eyes looking at the camera, not at each other. The mother's look to me is how my dog looks askance towards me to see what I am doing and if it is going to effect her or not. It does feel like the pup was coming towards Mom until they spotted the camera. Sep 23rd
3 Sep 20 Comment Great red-winged black bird! One of the few birds I know the name of! I also would like to know how you did the swirling effect... and only a small note, more space in front of the bird would be good to give the bird a little leading room. But otherwise a great shot. Sep 23rd
3 Sep 20 Comment Great Capture! Such a simple construct, but with a powerful feel. The tautness of the chain and the preciousness of the water droplets. Very well done. Sep 23rd

85 Sep 20 Reply No worries... I understand. It is a process. But not as hard as it seems. Sep 23rd
85 Sep 20 Comment Really nice coastline shot, beautiful clear sky day. Interesting that the soccer fields were brown and unused. Were you able to go back and see if that has changed?
Because the sky is so clear, if you had tilted down, could you see more of the fields, while still keeping the coastline in view?

85 Sep 20 Comment Really nice barn! Great editing, the sky looks great, the barn is sharp and the colors are great. Great editing on getting rid of the concrete slabs too.
If you could have moved the drone a bit to the right, to hide the home to the left, or cloned that home out... give the barn some breathing space to the left.
Question, did you know the barn owner? Did you ask permission before or after shooting the barn? I see places all the time I would like to stop and shoot, but I'm not sure about asking owners first.

85 Sep 20 Comment Great video Tony, you need to get some extra batteries!!! Fascinating to see the top of the glacier, and the crevices running thru it. I would love to see the straight down view, probably a great abstract view.

And very scary to send the drone that far away... even though that's the beauty of the drone, it can go places you can't get to. As long as you can get it back!

85 Sep 20 Comment Great capture Bob! The water looks so turbulent, no wonder it's a dangerous river. Glad he was found okay.
Do you have any video of the river flowing? That would be a spectacular addition to your photo.
Great colors and composition to show how the pontoon boat probably got caught up in the trees.

85 Sep 20 Reply Thanks Don, yes I was doing this manually... after several tries, this one was the smoothest. I do have Tripod mode on the Spark... but always forget to use it!
Sedona is one of my favorites places to visit. You can hike around the many buttes and enjoy the views from several vantage points. Good stop on the way to the Grand Canyon.
