3 May 20 Comment This is a haunting image... very well done. Her eyes shouldn't be open, she is deep in thought, deep in her mysteriousness. Her face in the shadows is well done, I don't want more light there. But I agree with LuAnn, possibly a little more light on the right, so you don't lose her shoulder in the details in the shadows... but that is not necessary to the story either. Superb image May 25th
3 May 20 Comment I agree, I never want to wear leather again... I try not to now as it is... What a horrible way to make a living. Hopefully photos like these can bring attention to this process. As far as composition, I'm not sure where you took this photo from, but I actually would like to see a wider image to see how many of these 8-hole drum things there are packed together. For this image, I think a tighter crop and a squared up view might be better... keep the emphasis on this one drum. May 25th
3 May 20 Comment Wow! That was my first thought, lol. You have the makings of a great series of mysterious works! Keep it going, make 10-20 and frame them! That would make a great exhibit!
I agree that the crown molding at the bottom of the staircase and the carpeting is too distracting... darker shadows work better. I like how you used content-aware to get rid of the molding. And darken the carpet, you don't want to know he's in your house! Lol

3 May 20 Comment hi Randolph, love the message of hope! Very positive way to deal with this craziness! When I opened my ipad to your photo, the screen cut off the bottom of you image. I kinda liked it. It made the avocado stand out more, not competing with the green at the bottom. I like LuAnn's edit too. Great sky! May 25th
3 May 20 Comment Beautiful woman, beautiful smile. I like the warmer skin tones in the edit, but I like the grey background in the original. I think that the green background in the edit, gives her skin a greenish feel.
The small edge of background between her shoulder and the left hand side of the crop is bothersome. Since you don't have space in the front of her body for breathing room, I think that you could crop directly to the sweater and eliminate that space. You have breathing room at the top, so you wouldn't be cutting off her hair.

3 May 20 Comment Very beautiful ranunculus, I had to look that up. Amazing what you learn in PSA! I love the pink flower, and the purple and black backgrounds. I agree with Ruth that the bottom usually has more room, but that is a small issue. And you could just flip it! Actually the flip makes that one purple background piece look like a reflection. 3 May 20 Reply Hi LuAnn, yes I am aware of the basics of the legalities of photographing art and sculpture. From what I can understand, if it is in a public space, and you are taking the photo for yourself, it is allowed. But if you take that photograph and try to sell it or make money from it, you need permission. That is the case with the Eiffel Tower, the lights are an art installation. Since it is such a popular landmark, most people don't know that law. But most people take the photos for themselves, and not for commercial sale.
At least that is my understanding, and it is basic. I'm sure there are more advanced laws, but I'm not selling for commercial gain.

3 May 20 Reply Thank you! I wish I would have moved just a bit to the left so her hand is on the umbrella handle, but the idea is there! May 21st
3 May 20 Reply Thanks Ruth... I'll try that edit. I don't edit sections like that too much... I suppose I need to do that more. May 8th
3 May 20 Reply Thank you Stuart! I will work on your recommendations... I appreciate your edit too! May 3rd

85 May 20 Comment Thanks everyone, I did lose that Sparky... but I bought another one right away. I am still gutted about losing the images on the SD card. But since I had some of the images and videos on the app, it's not so bad. I was planning on going back there this year....but those plans were canceled of course. Maybe 2021! It really wasn't as dark as it seems. I walked around for hours after looking in the water before it got too dark. And it was operator error that crashed. I should have grabbed Sparky out of the air, but I tried to land him on the bridge and hit the railing. 50/50 chance that it went into the water or onto the bridge. Ugh. May 25th
85 May 20 Comment I love the mood and the fogginess also. I think a tighter crop may be more interesting. And maybe dodge and burn the roof of the building so that the words show up better. And where is the dog? lol May 14th
85 May 20 Comment I like this shot too, very beautiful colors. The height is about right for showing off the town behind the chateau. I am the opposite of Tony, I would like to see it straight on, but that is my preference with my photography. I would like to see more of the canal on the right too...from the courtyard of the Chateau, you would never know that town is right up against it. May 14th
85 May 20 Comment Great video Tony. I love the monochrome look of the waterfall, all browns and whites. The people give it great scale and perspective. I would like to have had the drone stop and linger on the falls just a little bit longer. Nicely done. Looks freezing cold! May 14th
