He does not seem interested at all... Later that night, they were both performing in a cultural dance show. He's a musician, she's a dancer. Would love to know what this conversation was about. |

Very good point Randolph, she probably wouldn't have been there again. I do like the archway... I didn't mind the crop, but I do think it is better with it. Thanks for your comments! |

LuAnn, I'm not exactly sure how to not have this happen again... this sky doesn't leave any room for improvement that I can see, so maybe crop it out in the original framing, or replace it in Photoshop. For the water and the dam, it needs less light to not be blown out, so a faster exposure? The aperture was closed down to f/18 for maximum depth of field. |

That is a fantastic capture, it does work nicely with the 2 people... I'm not familiar with paraflash, but it seems to have worked quite well in that enclosed space. Maybe tone down the whiteness/brightness on his shirt so it looks a bit more natural? |

Thanks for your nice comments Ruth. I tried the crop and posted it above your comment. It doesn't bother me losing the arch as much as I thought it would. |

Hi LuAnn,
I use Lightroom Classic. I did a re-edit of this imageâ⬦ Unfortunately, I did not shoot this in Raw, which may be why it's so hard to get the edit correct. I'll post mine, but please show me what you mean! Lol
Our photo club does a "edit the same photo" month. It is amazing how different everyone's edits are. |

Great image. On my laptop and on my iPad, the light from the doorway isn't so distracting to me, it gives my eye a way out of the room. I love the way my eye follows the pottery to the man to the woman and out the door, where the pots will be going. The lighting is good, but it does give a feel of being a set-up shot instead of a photorealism. (if photorealism is the goal) |

I've never been to Toldeo Spain, but the houses on the cliff there look pretty cool. I hope that you were able to get other photos of this area at a different time of day. For me, the sky is very distracting, maybe you could use another photo with a better sky from your trip for a composite. The fall colors are great, but could use a little saturation, for my taste. |

Thanks LuAnn... Funny, I had submitted this photo to a PJ discussion group last month and someone said the same thing about the archway. I've always loved the arch and thought it was kind of a frame within a frame deal. I'll try your suggestions and I'll see how to get rid of that blue cast. Maybe he's just holding his breath to get out of being scolded. |

Beautiful pink color and very pretty flower, I think this is a better representation of it than your last photo of this flower. This one shows more of the structure of the flower. But for me, I would like more of the background to be blurred to bring out the flower on its own. And that one green branch is very heavy and seems to be slicing thru the flower.
How long are these flowers in bloom? Can you go back and get closer... that way the crop doesn't lose any pixels. |

fantastic Ruth! Very mysterious, you nailed the mood. Black and white works really well... although I think you could make it a sepia tone also for an old west feel. You did a good job removing the awning on the right too... How did you accomplish that? |

Wow, great image... and great processing. There is great detail in his face and clothes. Obviously you shot in raw... what was your process for bringing out the details? |

Thanks Tony... the main photo above is a video frame. I did stop the video recording, take a jpeg, then started the video recording again. Since the Spark only takes jpeg and not raw, I wasn't happy with the still photo, or the video frame for that matter. Too blown out because of the sun.
The return was not automatic, I was afraid of it flying the wrong way on limited battery. I did catch it with my hand instead of landing it because the ground cover was full of sticks and things harmful to drones.
I would love to do this again with a better drone, if I ever can upgrade my spark.
I think the upload to YouTube was pretty easy to accomplish. |

Another thought on this image... in our world of social distancing, this has a different feel to it in that concept. |

Yes, a little closer is good... that roof is fascinating. I'd like to see this building in the spring, if the grass has some more green in it, that would be a great juxtaposition of color. |

I was just lucky with the timing of the sun when we stopped. This drive is midway between Baltimore and State College. "Next time" I'll try to get the base lined up with the mountains so you can see the statue against the sky. I like that idea.
The story of this sculpture is fascinating. And if you watch my video, know that my goal wasn't the video, but to get a shot of the statue. The video is for historical purposes only lol. |

Yes, exactly Lou, so that the grass edge is horizontal with the frame. You have a great view of the town thru to the mountains and a beautiful sky. My geometric balance is off.
Did you do video here as well? |

This is a great photo, would look nice printed on metal. Did you have any flying restrictions in Iceland? How was it flying in that cold weather. Great that you got a trip in before all the traveling restrictions came down.
I forget that the drone can make these great panos... I'll have to look at some of my old ones again.
I love the blue swatch of water right in the middle and I don't mind the sun on the left, I think the water flows thru the middle to the left because of it. |

I love this shot! The straight down look is one of my usual views, as you guys know. I love the fence that moves your eye thru the photo. I agree with Tony, the red object and the cables in the top left are distracting. The colors are great, has a real suburbia feel to it.
I am hoping to get my drone out in the back yard this weekend... supposed to be great weather in central PA. How's the weather where you are? |

I would love to see this house from the top down! Should be an interesting geometric viewpoint. The white on the left is distracting... do you have the video? you could attach it to here if you wanted to. |

Very pretty photo, like Tony said the exposure is great, colors are great, beautiful sky. I didn't even notice that the chateau isn't the main focus of the photo. My suggestion would be to straighten up the horizon, so that the patch of grass is fully visible and lined up horizontally.... but then you wouldn't see any of the chateau, but the focus would be on the town. |

Thank you Tony! I would like to be able to use a grad filter on that image, but since it's only a jpeg, it didn't look that great. I'd like to upgrade my drone and run it out there again. My video skills are atrocious though, lol. But it was fun doing it, although stressful. And those aren't boats, they are rocks or land formations. But true they should be cloned out. |
