Thanks Jim for your great comments. Now I'm rethinking the crop LOL. I really do wish I had that 1 inch of separation between the middle chair and the railing. But I didn't see it then, so I can't fix it now. That's the big dilemma seeing everything in the frame and getting it right the first time, the only time. |

Nice! great capture, great colors. I love the selective focus only in the middle on the bee's face. The orange of the flower and the yellow of the pollen work well together. Nice blurring in the background. |

Very nice pretty flowers. I love the colors, and agree the vignette is distracting. Also that one leaf on the lower left is too in focus, takes my eyes away from the pretty flowers. |

Great capture, great colors. Almost looks like a miniature model on a set piece. Doesn't look big enough to be real. Very nostalgic feeling. I wish those cement blocks weren't there... and the black bar on the right of the frame is just there enough to make me wonder what it is... |

Very nice capture... I have been to that place once, but it was very dark and spooky. A Halloween evening event. This looks like a much better way to see it and to appreciate the details that you have captured here. I do like the square crop, but I do feel there is some symmetry in your original crop with the long path to the next set of bars, and another long path to the next set of bars... etc.

Beautiful. I like the leading line of the path that takes your eye through the grass and flowers towards the mountains. Great colors. |

Thank you! ... a lower angle could be good. Although I do like that the chairs aren't on top of the fence. I actually wish I had a sliver of the red deck between the mama and papa chairs and the fence. |

Hi! Visiting from another group... I love this image! It stopped me in my tracks as I was moving along the groups. I also love geometry, lines and angles in photos. Must have been a huge staircase to fit this much in your frame. Nice job. |

Great photo! I do love the top down look and the ribbons of the balloons add a nice line for the eye to follow to the boys.
Maybe turning the photo 90 degrees so the boys are on the top of the image would help with the head turn problem I feel that I am having. |

What a fantastic fountain! Looks like a great place to hang out on a sweltering hot day, like we've been having this year.
Love the colors and the geometry and the general composition.
I would love to see a directly overhead shot, of course, but I realize that it isn't advisable to do with people in the shot. In lieu of that, I would like to see the photo aligned on the horizontal lines of the fountain and the sidewalk. It feels a little too askew to me. |

This is a really nice image... I agree with Lou that there is a lot going on. I think you could crop in and focus on the yellow truck in the foreground. And you know me, I would love to see the overhead shot of the truck! |

Definitely a learning experience of what not to do. I like Michigan, Toledo, Grand Rapids, Detroit. I usually get to Toledo for a golf tournament, but I didn't go this year. I'll have to look you up if I get offered that job again next year. |
