Background and skin tone looks better, but I think the rim light needs to be bought back up a bit to separate him from the background. Losing the hat's definition. |

Love his eyes. And the expression is great. |

If possible I would open the crop and move the flower a little to the left. Too centered, but the fact that you choose a square crop does make it work. As for Beverly's rendition, definitely brings out the detail in the petals, but I'd mask out the leaves. Seem too crisp. |

Who says symmetry doesn't work. :) I like how the flowers in the middle are also longer then the sides. Nice. |

Great shot, only thing that bothers me (and it's picky) is the sword, or whatever he's holding, sticking up out of bottom. I would clone it out or crop tighter for a headshot portrait, but that's just me. :) |

Thanks for the feedback.
Margaret, are you referring to the clouds on the horizon?
Neal, I could move the birds. I'll play with that.
Also, the title of the image is incorrect and that may be my fault, I may have typo'd it when I submitted it. Should be "Sunset over the Neuse" (not Meuse). Neuse is a river in NC near New Bern. |
