Thanks for your comments. Jason, my opinion is that the photographer is a supporting element to the main story which is the group. If I left all of him in, the viewer's eye would first be drawn to fix on him and then over to the group. This way, the viewer's eye is first drawn to the group and the shy dog and then the eye catches the photog to complete the story. |

I think this is an excellent character shot and capturing the interaction between them completes the story.
Because the background is so busy next time think about opening the aperture to get a little more background blur so you have a separation between your main characters and a busy background. I think that could make the photo even better. |

I like the story of the parents doing a grab shot of the child. Seeing just the child's toes sticking out is a good touch in my opinion. |

I like the composition and the eye contact. I prefer the B&W because I think the color is a little overpowering the story |
