Thanks Beverly. I thought the original was too green from the grass and shrubbery which diverted my attention from the main subject. By converting to B&W, I was able to create highlights and shadows that attract the viewer's attention to the woman.
By the way y'all, this photo was accepted into the exhibit "Americans" at the Rankin Arts Photography Center at Columbus (GA) State University. The exhibit will open on Sept. 13 (yes, it's FRIDAY the 13th <LOL>). |

A ubiquitous story but I think it works here because of the unusual character of the man. I'm happy you mentioned that you used local adjustments (the layer mask) for touch up. Too many people I've talked to don't know how to use them and it's a necessary skill to acquire. |

I think this is an awesome capture of young girl enjoying life.
On my screen there seems to be a red color cast on the girl's face, possibly from the tulips. Try playing with the white balance to make it a wee bit cooler temp and see what happens. |

Kids having fun is a great story. To me the motion blur adds an interesting dimension.
Beverly: I've done the same and had the same results. I guess people are really cautious about giving out their emails and unfortunately, that's a good thing these days. |

I love the juxtaposition of the guy who seems to be oblivious to you and the woman who seems to want to kill you for taking her photo. Well done capture! |
