Thanks Dave, and this time of night most of the egrets are in their nesting place, so in all likelihood either a Pelican (most likely) or an Osprey. |

Another reminder of our environmental challenges in the US. Reminds me of some of Florida sunsets from Saharan dust that blankets our area, but does not cause the unhealthy air of smoke. Although people with lung problems are encouraged to minimize time outside during Dust storms. The positive impact is that it discourages Hurricanes, Mother Nature sometimes has other purposes in mind.
You have captured a steak reality and certainly highlights environmental issues we face! Well done. |

Beautiful place for sure! And the cars do give a sense of scale. The 17 mile drive is stunning and love the rocks and water movement. Its been a while since we have been in California, and I certainly miss traveling . I am hoping we can carve some time out to get back to Sedona, AZ. My favorite place in USA, nature sure has a way of pointing out its beauty, and more importantly ......our mistakes! May I ask what type of trees those are? they remind me of Acacia but I don't think there are any in US. Just curious! |

A very creative and unique image, at first I thought that was a beer due to the color of the glass, but when I zoomed in and was able to see the ice cubes and what looks like a long refreshing drink of cold water, my favorite thing to drink (except for that first cup of coffee every morning)!
You have achieved your goal, Dave! It is a thought provoking environmental image that should be a wake up call! Nice image and message. Glad you had you're second knee done and are getting back to normal! Hope every day is a little better. |

Looks too perfect in some respects then I see the red barrels, and know it is real! But what a beautiful scene! Not sure how you found that perfect spot to capture bth the courthouse and Arch, but WOW!! |

As you well know, I am a sucker for smooth water. And this image is a keeper! I played around with the crop a little wondering if chopping a little of the bottom off might be a good idea, but I came away with its really your preference, no compelling reason to lose that flow at the bottom of the water portion, unless you like it better that way. The flow of water draws you into the "mountain" and makes me want to explore that space. Either are beautiful! Love the rocks and water flowing off the rocks, and the "mountain " is lovely. |

Sun was already down by then so no silhouette. And the detail in the boat was one of the reasons I opted to use the Sony with the long lens.....it was a good ways out and would have captured no detail with the 850 with my landscape lens. |

I have to go West or North, they do not like the hot weather in South Florida! |

Totally jealous! beautiful bird and great image. At first I wondered why you left the right side of the image in, then realized the Honeysuckle branch was clearly the reason. I might consider taking out the leaves on the left with content aware, but purely an artistic choice! Great shot and still jealous!!!! |

Cami, where do you live? South America? Ive seen many Green Herons nesting up here in South Florida and never observed the Orange to Red legs. When I did a search, it seems like it might be specific to South America. But I could be wrong and others have seen it as well. Those legs certainly make the bird pop! And the posturing of the bird and clean background is fantastic, not to mention the branch that leads you into the bird. Verynicely done! Congrats! |

They are sweet and the I very much like the way you cropped the image. The branch gives a leading line and the background is perfect. Keeps your focus on the two birds and my eyes go directly to those bills. I've one image of a Mom feeding an immature and it reminds me of this image a lot. Only I wish my background was as perfect as this one is! Nice image!!! |

Donald, I think what you are seeing is that background is so pretty in the large version, while when you severely crop it loses that beautiful texture.I did try to do a "fake" sky replacement but the dark spots won't let me select very well. (I'm not great in Masking in photo shop, but if you are and do a sky replacement you will be much happier with the image. That squirrel is darn cute! |

I do love it! Particularly for birds. I still use my Nikon D850 for landscapes but everything else is Sony 7rIV all the way! |
