Just a wonderful find, Larry!! When I first saw it I thought juvenile GBH but that makes no sense.....especially going to a nest. Fantastic memory that I am sure you will keep for a good while. |

Italy's Lake Region is absolutely beautiful but so was Annecy, Fr., Chamonix, Fr., and Zermatt, Switzerland. The only spot I was not enamored with was Milan. Too much smog! But we were only there a day and then flew out the next night on a red eye back to JFK. It is a fantastic place for landscape photography. I also found the people genuinely nice! I am sure you will enjoy it once we get to a new normal ! |

Thank you Janos. One thing I have not tried is astrophotograhy and PhotoPills is essential to get good locations. I am going to try for one in the next 12 months.....just need to get past this pandemic!!! |

An hour or so can make a dramatic difference in the light. Usually you want to get there for first light, but with the fog in this case it was not a shot that could have been processed to remove the fog!
The image is quite nice, especially like the fisherman. He adds perspective and depth. I would consider cropping just a little to remove the sky. It is the whitest thing in the image and will draw the eye away from the beauty of the trees and the water. I like the leading line the water makes into the rocks and the reflections in the water are great. Nice image. |

For starters ....I apologize about the Title....it will not let me change it. apparently I had the title in there from last month and it autofilled and was unable to change it! Not sure why.
So I love the sunrise and the rocks in the foreground make this shot, so I would indeed try to increase the light in the foreground. The color in the sky is beautiful and the light reflection on the water adds a great deal to the image and helps bring my eye into that sky. The composition is well done. |

Beautiful image .....the truck in dead center does not bother me particularly because the function is to give scope to the image and show us the perspective. Would it have been better in another spot, perhaps, but it still gives us that feeling of size and dimension. I love the lines and curves and while I know this is a harsh environment it still gives me a peaceful feeling. |

Dave,
Reminds me of Ian's image earlier this year during the fires in Australia. It certainly provides a great deal of drama and speaks to the devastation that results in wildfires. I would classify this as a "story telling" image that makes everyone step back and be thankful for the problems we have. The smoke cloud reminds me of a snake, mouth open and ready to attack, which is pretty much what the fires have done. Scary and dramatic for sure! |

During my photo trek of the Alps in 2017 we stayed in Stresa, Italy right next to Lake Maggiore and were treated to a beautiful sunset on our first night. This image shows off the two islands in Lake Maggiore, Isola Bella and Isola Superiore. What was really interesting is the sun was setting to my left but all the colors were to the east. With the mountains, it is interesting how you actually have "sunset" early because the sun goes behind those gigantic mountains. Lucky our local guide really understood photographers and the kind of things they would be looking to shoot!
Living predominantly at sea level most of my life I was not prepared for this dynamic.
Our first stop in Annecy, I was on my own the first day and tried to get a sunset and really struggled with trying to find the time of sunset.
Taken with Nikon D750 on tripod.

Great image of the lemurs and getting a baby is always a plus for me! So sharp and clear and those eyes are spectacular! I have tried to capture lemurs before and getting that very long tail is not an easy undertaking. I would take the slightly cut off tail as OK given how long they are. Very nice image! |

Unique and beautiful Lily. I had never seen this one before. The depth of field is enough to give depth to the image and still give a nice background. Unlike, David I really like to two buds showing. I think it balances the image and lets us see that it is actively in the blooming stages. Im not sure if I would like it as a macro...but I would certainly give it a try if possible. Very nice image. |

Nice, I love the water drops coming off the fish/beak. Good depth of field creating that creamy background. This resembles our Night Herons (juveniles) here in the states. The only thing I might consider is darkening the white concrete area...it draws my eyes away from the subject, the bird. |

It is not as sharp as the rest of the body, he was moving pretty quickly when he saw the net go in the water....but it is also because the image was only 592 kb. I re-did it to put my limit as 1MB and it is a little better still not as sharp as the rest of the body. This is a new camera and this was my second time out. Not quite as agile with it! |

Early morning (up for sunrise which never happened) but overcast, thus no sunrise to speak of! |
