Thanks Peter I will try that. Since this is an iPhone shot I did not import into LR, just used their tools and I had to increase the shadows because the green was not apparent. Perhaps Ill import into LR and see what I can do to improve it. |

You are so right, It would have been great to have a bird/birds flying across with that light! Ill have to look and see if I took any photos around the same time with this light, but I suspect not because I also tried to do a panorama which did not work! |

I did try a pano, but with the shape of the boardwalk it was very weird looking. The boardwalk is only about 4 ft. wide so could not get back very far. The boardwalk has a sharp right turn and this scene is just before you make the turn. Logistics were just terrible. There were also lots of people on the boardwalk mostly photographers with all their gear, so great idea, I would much rather have it on my camera especially with that fantastic light. |

May have been pretty rainy but it gave you some absolutely incredible shot. Those clouds are fantastic and lend a great deal of mystery and atmosphere to the image. I have mixed emotions about the two people in red on the right. I think people add a sense of size, but the red keeps bringing my eye back to them rather than the beauty of the landscape.
I applaud your commitment to getting this shot in the rain. Had to have been a little tricky trying to keep your gear dry. |

WOW! Just incredible skyline. Overwhelming number of buildings and an interesting choice of the Black and White, but I really like it. I would not have thought to do that but it is stunning and reminds me to try new things more often! |

What beautiful sunrise colors! were you standing on the lake/ice when you took this shot? I would guess that when that sun comes up the ice must sparkle, but would be difficult to photograph. The colors remind me of a Monet painting.
Have you looked at other ways to crop this? I might try cropping the bottom part of the ice off and focus more on the upper portion with that beautiful light (pano crop).Just a thought.

I have no idea where this was taken (and would love to know), but it is an absolutely stunning vista. Those clouds are special, particularly the ones with on the mountains (not above). This must be magnificent in full size! Hope you have hung it on your wall! |

The concept is great, nothing like getting mother birds interacting with their babies, but the image is too small I think. Not sure if it is due to cropping but it is only 311 kb and it makes the photo somewhat blurred. I know that we must reduce the size and I think that may be part of the problem. I usually gauge how clear the image is by magnifying the shot and looking at the eyes.
I know you are traveling and if you can increase the size a bit while still staying within the guidelines feel free to resend to me. My apologies, since you sent it to me so early, I should have checked before I downloaded it to the website. |

I love this image! He is so "cute" even if he is looking pretty "sour". Were you in Coral Springs? I have on my list to go down to Brian Piccolo Park to get the burrowing owls, I go to Captiva every summer but the owls are breeding Feb- July so I miss them every year. But Ft. Lauderdale is in my own back yard, I just need to go there.
This image is crystal clear on that face, and I love the flower (in focus) at his left. Gives the image interest and contrast. Relieves all the green that is unavoidable. What camera do you shoot and can you share your settings? |

Nice shot of the Great White Egret. Surprized the eye has not turned green yet, but the plumage is obvious. These are the most beautiful bird when in breeding plumage.
Perfect focus, good feather detail, and nice job getting rid of the stick on the right. In Florida most of my bird shots relating to behavior have all those sticks everywhere. What used to be green is now bare from the Iguanas! And unfortunately if you want the bird sharp all the tree branches are equally clear. But it is the environment where they have their babies.
Nice image! |

Beautiful symmetry of the flamingos! They are very graceful and beautiful birds. And Lake Nakuru is beautiful.
Focus looks fine even with the downsizing required for the website.
Might I suggest you crop a little off the top and bottom. I would take it to just below the reeds on top and they a little off the bottom to keep it symmetrical. Nothing in that space adds interest or gives habitat info so I would be inclined to trim it just a little. But that is your decision, just what I would personally do to make myself happy. I would not saturate it more since African Flamingos are not as vivid as American Flamingos because they don't get all the shrimp/crustaceans in their diet. |

The power of water is rather remarkable. This photo shows the beauty as well as that power. I personally love the long exposure on waterfalls but that is a creative choice and not everyone is in that channel. The one thing I might consider is adjusting the WB. I think the greens are pretty saturated so I would use the color specific slider to unsaturated the yellows and greens. I use an D850 (particularly on landscapes) and have always found it to oversaturate those two colors.
Your exposure is spot on and the sky is beautiful. It can be so easy with the darkness of the falls to blow out the sky. Did you use a ND filter and were you on a tripod? Just interested , with 1/400 might not have been necessary for a tripod. I am not a fan of filters, but since you take the minimal processing approach was wondering if that was one of your tools. But a perfect spot for sure and a very nice image. |
