Herb,
I'm visiting from Group 73 and loved your photo of the hawk. I am a regular visitor to Green Cay for the birding opportunities. It is a beautiful facility and right now has tons of birds (as opposed to last year when they were meager and Wakodahatchee was the center of all things birds).
I have only seen one hawk there and it was just too far away even with a 500mm. The clarity of the bird is exceptional and the eyes are great. Beautiful bird! |

Great shot of a beautiful horse! Your primary photo has much more depth than the one labeled original. The beautiful morning light seems to permeate the main shot. Gorgeous light and horse with great lines from the fence. Nicely done. |

I spend my early career in Pittsburgh, working in the downtown hospital. Commuted everyday into the city and did not appreciate the beauty of the buildings. This is a great shot of the buildings and one of the more difficult subjects to photograph. Very nice! Did you do the Point from Mt. Washington while you were there? It is a beautiful cityscape from the top. My Dad still lives there and I go back frequently. Will have to give the buildings a try. I routinely go up Mt. Washington to get the point, just never ventured into town for buildings. |

Stunning!!! Love the leading lines, the reflections and the beautiful sky. Beautiful landscape and wonderful photograph. I thought Texas was mostly flat, but clearly not the case. |

Clear and sharp. The colt must be quite young based on it's size. I did not think wild horses would allow you to get that close. |

We were extremely lucky! we were there from 21-30th and only had one day of really bad rain and weather. Lots of short downpours but our time near the lagoon was beautiful. Amazing place! But no aurora and no puffins :-(. |

I like this one better. The composition is unchanged, but lowering the saturation makes it more realistic.
Somehow I forgot to put a comment on your image in my first go round! Sorry. But I do love lighthouses and the memories of another time and day. Most are not even called lighthouses any more but are referred to as lights. And most are retained for historical purposes rather than functional.
How do you like your Tamron 15-30. I used mine a lot in Iceland. Only way you can get the magnificent scenery in there! |

Excellent composition, beautiful location. The sunset colors in the clouds are beautiful. The sun setting blows out the foreground a little too much for my taste. I think I would have tried a few different exposure settings or perhaps HDR to try and soften that sunset color. Not sure what the best option would be........maybe some others in the group might have some suggestions. |

Absolutely dynamite shot!! The color of the lake is stunning. Ian is correct though and you have some lens flare that could be corrected pretty easily. The composition with fore, mid, and background is superb. Beautiful location. |

I have seen more and more of the "tree trunk" photos and love them all! Including this one. In America it is usually the aspens that get photographed and these look similar to aspen with their white bark. Something magical about trees and how they grow. They are a constant in our world, and we are destroying the planet by our overconsumption. One day the future generations will look back in wonder at the beauty that surrounded us and not understand why we ignored the warnings and destroyed that beauty by our actions.
Sad but true, at least we will have shots like this to remind them. |

I have not even attempted to try a drone! Give you credit on making that effort. Like the bright colors and crisp image makes this shot very interesting, but the composition is well done too. I will encourage you to find time to learn Lightroom/Photoshop, a small amount of post processing could enhance your sky and mountains even more! |

Thank you Stephen, this shot did not need the bright golden color, I found Iceland to be a very subdued country from the color perspective that nature has to offer. They are soft and clean! Just wish we would have seen the aurora! But the sunsets are soft and gentle and I really like to stay true to what I saw, not oversaturate! Thanks for visiting our GREAT GROUP!!! |
