We were in a Range Rover with a pop top and I had a great zoom. If you look it was at 410 mm. so not really so close. But I found many of the wild animals to be very unconcerned about the vehicles. We had many animals (including lions) that walked right by our vehicle. Leopards and cheetahs were more elusive and skilled safari guides were critical components of finding those more difficult cats. The others like zebras, giraffes, elephants, and wildebeest were everywhere. It was a wonderful trip. I would go back in a heartbeat. |

Like it very much. Never thought of a vignette but it highlights the lion. I use Nik for several things but have never used VIeza. Will give it a whirl! |

Unique and different. Your choice of arrangement makes it very interesting. I am sure you must have had a reason and wonder what your thought process was... The dancers are beautiful and you feel like they are moving through the picture. |

Nice, sharp and detailed photo. It makes me think of the movie Ghost. I am amazed that you were able to get it so sharp with the wheel moving. I assume you used a high shutter speed. Very nice photo. |

Great combination of photos. Seamless. I have yet to master that skill, but I am starting a Photoshop course this winter session. I appreciate the skill it takes to combine them. There is a lot going on in this picture but it all blends together nicely. |

What a great remembrance for the family! Unique and so much fun. Of course the quality of the picture is fantastic, clear crisp and certainly gives the feeling of gangsters! |

Nice capture of an iconic event. Clear and sharp all the way through. With the number of people there taking photographs must have been difficult. |

Sorry, file was too big. Had to try again. I also sharpened it which helped some too. I use lightroom, not Photoshop or ACR. |

The castle glows, I assume from the lighting directed on it. Unfortunately I don't have any tricks on the stars. The only thing I can think of might be to change the white set point. I tried it and it does work but then you make right center pretty light. I have attached for you to look at...but less than spectacular. Perhaps someone else has a better idea that you could do locally rather than globally. |

We left at 4AM in the morning to get to the lighthouse for sunrise, it was cold, windy, and I was definitely struggling to get the horizon straight (which clearly I did not do very well :-)). I honestly was trying to get the lighthouse and sunrise with as few freighters as I could! So this one was not so well thought through from a composition perspective. I also took over 200 shots. I did partial lighthouse, I did just the top light, I did the blue hour which provided some stunning sky and clean pictures of lighthouse (aka without freighters), but that did not require the sun. The problem was combination of location of sun, lighthouse, and freighters. It did not seem so daunting until I realize all the freighters that were queued. Oh well, you work with what you got. |

I have been to Delicate Arch and I want to know how you hiked back down safely in the dark. That is a treacherous go and I gave up and left as it was getting dusk.
Very nice capture of the arch and the stars. Is there any way you can pull out the beautiful shades of the rocks in processing? I think that might add to the image because they are gorgeous.
There is a technique to use a flashlight to bring out the colors but it is realtime. But the angle and stars are incredible. Very nice image. |

Amazing image! Beautiful area that I have not had an opportunity to visit. Sometimes the best part is the description . I keep discovering beautiful parts of this continent that I have still not gotten to see!
Crisp and clean throughout and the mountains in the background frame it nicely. |

Looking at it, I am think perhaps you should crop out the blue sky at the top, but I really like them both.
I am amazed at how much it changes the overall feel of the image. The rocky coast takes over and becomes the focus of the shot instead of the lighthouse. Very interesting experiment. Both have merit and I like them both. |

Do you like your 850? I have started to do sports (Grandchildren all play soccer) and my 750 does not manage the burst capacity I need. So......been trying to decide if I go with the 500 ....but i really like the 850 and the reviews overall are pretty great. But nothing is better than someone that has had a chance to use it. Would be interested in your thoughts. |

When I shot this photo there were freighters everywhere! This was the least uncluttered view. And yes shooting from a boat was a challenge. The good news is we circled the lighthouse to get the best angle. In fact I think we must have gone round at least 10 times stopping in between to stabilize the shots. It was an interesting weekend going throughout Annapolis taking shots of historic places as well as the sail boats. It was my favorite location to shoot while I lived in Maryland. |

Suggest you bring out the detail in the darker parts of the scene, you could try to lighten the shadows or perhaps use detail extractor like Nik. You could also use the dehaze in LR . Having the fog/haze is fine, but it is to the point of obstructing the mountains. When you are shooting think about what you want the focal point of the picture to be.....in this picture I can't decide if it is about the mountains, sunset, or fog. Even if it is the fog, being able to see some detail in mountains would add a great deal to the picture. |

Welcome to Group 73! Nice to have you onboard. Beautiful shot of the Lighthouse. I really like the added texture that the rugged coastline provides. Composition is great. Sharp focus and clean image with no distracting extras. Have you considered doing this scene in a long exposure to smooth out the water? I think that might be fun to try! I also wonder how it would look in portrait orientation? Just giving you some ideas for future trips to this beautiful coastline. |

Really envious of your super moon. We were clouded out in Florida and could not see anything that night. I went down to the beach to try and capture it but gave up 1/2 hour after expected rise. Only suggestion I might have is to try and pull some detail out of the mountains. The moon is clearly the focus and it may not make any difference since my eyes stay locked on that moon. Beautiful!
