Just one more comment on the crop at the middle of the Native American Youths in the photo. If a person was submitting a photo of the Statue of Liberty, one wouldn't vertically crop half of the statue and submit the statue in that way to lose the beauty of that work of art. To capture the true essence of The Thinker by Rodin in a photo, one wouldn't crop the photo where the hand meets The Thinker's chin and submit it that way. So the same with those Native American Youth. To crop them in the middle, the viewer loses the spiritual message of the photo. The intricacies, color & flow of the feathering, & the beading on the traditional dress & the shoes make each of these youth a whole work of art that would be lost in a cut anywhere. |
