Kia ora Jessica. When I first looked at the image, I was searching for a focal point, something to draw my eye. When I came back to it a second time, I realised I find the monochromatic feel to be interesting in itself. With less colour variation, I can explore the interesting patterns and contrasts. I like the interesting shape on the shell second from the left. It is also lighter, so stands out a little from the other shells. |

What a wonderful door knocker! You've created an excellent image, sharp, and with good colour toning. |

I really love the result you got from focus stacking - I must give it a go. Great inspiration - and a wonderful image. |

Thanks Cindy. I do like your crop - sometimes it takes a second eye to find what works! |

I really like your image Nelson, and love how you experimented with the Live Composite mode. I also had to look up what it was! This is an interesting image, with lovely toning. |

Kia ora Cindy. You've created a wonderful image with a combination of colour pop against the darkened background, and your pin-sharp flowers at the front, with sharpness slowly receding as the eye travels back to a blur. The blooms are sharp and colourful, yet retain their delicacy, as Jessica commented. I also like your composition. |

Kia ora Denise - your decision to add more purple flowers in the background really works, and helps the focus on this beautiful dahlia. A beautiful image! |

Kia ora Rita. I also like what you have done - movement, colour, and the addition of the mountains. I like that you have left the hint of structures there, adding to the dream-like qualities. |

Kia ora Jan - your image tells a wonderful story. I like the almost monochromatic feel, with the subtle blue of the right-hand stool. Each accordian and stool are a unit of the story - and needed to stand together. If you did feel you wanted to balance the composition with a third component, I would try adding the collection box back in - it would complete the story of street music, without adding complexity. |

Kia ora Georgianne - I love the story you are telling through the image, and also the story behind why you visualised and composed it that way. It's a wonderful image - interesting, and you have allowed the dancers to each retain their own personality. Beautiful! |

Kia ora Carol - this is a wonderful image. I have a slightly different perspective to the others. I like the cormorant looking out of the image. Birds are always looking for food, scanning for predators, on alert and ready to fly. Not following the rules adds to the story that I see in this image. Just a different perspective!
I also love your black and white conversion, and change of sky. |

Thank you Denise! I like your edits, and your crop. This is the great thing about a group - it takes different eyes to see other possibilities. |
