You have good separation of background and rose, and I'm wondering whether slightly darkening the background, especially around the edges, might also enhance this. Mar 11th

57 Mar 25 Comment Kia ora Jessica - this is a lovely close up, with just enough focus and detail, and a hint of what might be hiding in the centre ready to emerge. Your square crop is perfect, but I might like to see the composition slightly shifted, showing a bit more of the in-focus tip of the right-hand petal.

77 Mar 25 Comment Kia ora Rita. I prefer your choice of monotone. It takes away a lot of distraction that the colour provides, and leaves the focus on the tricycle. It is interesting that the bike has both old and new components to it. Well done on the capture and processing. Mar 11th

77 Mar 25 Comment Kia ora Georgianne - I think your addition of the butterfly was inspired. It balances the image and the patterns on the butterfly's wings emulate the patterns in the leaves, which you have accentuated with your processing. To give more focus to the butterfly, I would remove the white area that is very prominent just above the mid leaf on the right hand side. A lovely, bright and interesting image. Mar 11th
