I love old keys - they have such interesting shapes and each tells a story. It was a good choice to place them on a weathered piece of wood and to add a vignette. I like that you have portrayed their different colours - the one in the centre very rusted, with some barely rusted at all. Very cool.
I like the partial curved shape at the base, hinting at another type of key. However, there is one on the right with a small part of the key head cut off, and the bittings are missing from the key in the lower right. The bittings are such an important part of a key, I would like to see them. |

Hi Cindy - I agree with you, I love the way the leaves around and interact with the lily. Your image is sharp, detailed and your processing suits it. I like your use of a vignette, with a hint of more leaves in the background. |

Hi Witta - thank you. It's interesting that you chose the candlelight LUT - its often my go-to and I really like it. Your version tells a completely different story, and you've inspired me to experiment a bit more with colour. I'll let you know what I end up with! |

Hi Linda - this old tugboat would have many a story to tell! I like your use of textures to enhance the old and weathered feel, and that you have separated the tugboat from its busy background. However, I would quite like to see a bit more of the water and also the interesting things on top of the boat, which are part of its story. I wonder if just a little selective lightening using curves would enhance the overall image. |

Hi Michael - magnolia buds are beautiful, with interesting textures and colours. Your image is simple, sharp and detailed. The rain droplets are interesting, and add another dimension. I like that you have captured a reflection, a hint of the environment, in the lower left droplet. |

Hi Connie. You've done a lovely job of processing this. It has depth and you've enhanced the colours just enough. The colour of the wheel reflects the reds in the trees.
I do find the dash of reflected orange tones in the water a little distracting however - my eye keeps going from the mill house and the wheel to the pool at the bottom. Maybe try toning that down just a little.
Your image makes me want to go there! |

Hi Witta - love this! The two images combine to enhance the story. The bright spot doesn't bother me - it's reminiscent of the sunshine. Interesting how we all have our individual interpretations with art.
I do find the dark square shadow a little distracting however. I'm not sure why - maybe because I don't know what it is, or it doesn't directly relate to the rest of the story for me. Either way, I love your finished image, and would definitely hang it on the wall.
