Hi Andrew - this is a very interesting image with its lines and textures, and I love seeing the workings of the music box in detail. I agree with the above suggestions and think a little selective sharpening would enhance the vintage feel. |

Hi Marcela - you have captured the flower beautifully and the sunlight really enhances the colour. I like the natural curves and your diagonal composition.
I would clone out the bright leaf on the lower right, and probably darken the upright leaf on the right just a little. |

Hi Bob, your composition is superb, and the colours are beautiful. You did well with the constraints of a high shutter speed and the shallow depth of field. |

Hi Nelson, I love the raindrops on the flower and your choice of square composition. I agree with Marcela - toning down the light spots in the upper part of the background would enhance the depth of the image. |

Hi Cindy, I like your off-centre placement of the orchid and your choice of square crop. I also like its beautiful colours and your shallow depth of field, just bringing in the leaves.
I agree with Bob that a slight decrease of luminosity in the green might help the bright spots on the leaves. |

Hi Jessica, this is a very interesting image - I love the repeating curves that you have captured.
For me, I would crop down on the fountain, leaving three levels of curves with the fourth (top level) remaining only as a 'V' shape in the centre. I would also like to see just a little more of the succulents, with a few ends included. Well done! Our phones are the camera we have with us most often :) |

Hi Michael, thanks for sharing about the course with Joel Grimes. I love his techniques, and I can see you are getting a lot from him. I look forward to seeing more of your still life work.
Your image is wonderful, with your composition and choice of processing. |

Hi Connie, I also love your second version - it tells a much stronger story of the entire life cycle. You have reminded me not to always clone out the dead and decaying - this is part of the full story, and part of life itself. |
