Hi Denise - what a cool project. Like Witta, I prefer your colour version. To me, the colours give added dimension to the image and tell more of a story. Love it! |

Hi Linda - a beautiful image. I like Witta's ideas and her version of your image. She is right that the grass needs a little lift. I would try masking the top half of the stalk however, to separate it from the treatment applied to the grass, and to keep it visually forward with the beautiful iris :)

Hi Connie. I love your experiment! You are right, the image needs a subject, and I like your finished result.
The only suggestion I would make, is to try adding a stalk to the sunflower, so it anchors it to the image.
I think it might have been Georgianne who used the polar coordinates filter a while back. I'm inspired to give it a go. Thank you :) |

Hi Witta. I don't find it too harsh or strong. I think the shallow depth of field gives balance, with the slightly out of focus petals at the back. This also helps to give added dimension to the flower.
I think the couch as background was a good choice. Often with solid colour backgrounds, I find the effect too hard. The texture in the couch fabric is enough to lift the image, without being distracting.
I like what you have done :) |

I love Witta's photo on the wall! Thank you Witta - it looks great. I often forget that fine art images should be printed and seen, not just kept on my hard drive.
Georgianne, as always, thank you so much for providing the step by step process you have used. You've reminded me to use Viveza more often.
I love what you've done. It has a look and feel of its own. I quite like the fly. It adds a bit more interest. The treatments applied to the fly don't make me look for reality, it fits with the character of the image as a whole. |
