Hi Andrew, this was a special find after the fires!
I agree with Jessica that the focus should be on the mushrooms, and less on the grass. Her crop suggestion really helps, combined with your shallow depth of field. |

Hi Marcela - I love what you have done. Your simple colour palette is great; that and the texture remaining in the background really amplify the cold and make the bird and feeder really pop out :) |

Hi Bob, I like your choice of crop, and I like the wonderful contrast you have achieved between the two areas of the image.
I agree with Jessica that it would be good to get a bit more clarity in the ice, just to bring it out a little more. |

Hi Nelson - good creative capture.
Like Jessica, I would like to see slightly more of the image in focus - which could easily be achieved with a tighter crop.
Your choice of black and white is good, as it leaves an air of mystery. |

Hi Cindy - I love your image and your processing of it. You have left the points of interest to stand out and it leaves me to wonder about the story behind the image. Well done :) |

Hi Jessica, you have done well with the white and the balance of colours in the background. I love flowers, and like Beverly's suggestion of adding a texture. I would be interested to see what you come up with after giving that a go. |

Hi Denise - what a great fantasy image. I like the direction in which Witta is taking your image - more into the fantasy realm, keeping the background in the background and making the beautiful tree trunk and vine stand out.
I am interested to see what you get once you've played around with all the suggestions :) |

Hi Linda - I too like both versions, for different reasons. I think I prefer your redo in terms of fine art - it really tells a story. I am intrigued by it, look further, and there is an air of mystery and danger :) |

Hi Connie - I too like the natural perspective. I feel I am standing in front of the church and looking up at it.
Thanks to Linda for showing us the flipped option. I admit I often forget to check how it looks from both directions.
If you're looking for realism and place, then keep the original direction with its writing intact - it stays a recognisable church that way. |

Hi Witta - what a wonderful project! I too like the colour option 2, however, I would probably keep the red berries as they are in your original, to focus on the flower, and then bring out the colour on the flower and the lightness in that area as you have on option 2.
Your mono version is an interesting abstract, but to my mind, could do with a little more definition in the centre, since the light directs your eye there.

Hi Georgianne. I think you've done a good job experimenting with your blurry image. It's a lovely, peaceful scene, with a bit of interest captured.
Looking at the original, and again at the final image, I wonder if you clone out the bright orange from his hat. This is what looks strange with the Renoir effect. Then his face would be clearer. You could also try masking the Renoir layer and painting back his face a little.
I also agree with Witta that cloning out the upright metal pole obscuring his legs would be a good thing - it all helps to bring him out a little more.
