Hi Andrew, the denim was a very appropriate background for this image of an old transistor radio. You achieved your goals with this image. I also like your diagonal composition, with the cover on the upper left at a slightly different angle adding interest. |

Hi Marcela, your sunflower is beautifully in focus - I can clearly see and enjoy the pattern of the seeds.
I like the simplicity the angle you have chosen gives to the shot, with the yellow sunflower against the blue sky. |

Hi Nelson, I like your colour grade on this. It gives it a real 'market' feel. Your slight vignette is well-chosen. |

Hi Jessica. I love the simplicity of the two main flowers, with the others slightly out of focus.
I too would bring the background highlights down, so we can focus more clearly on the beautiful subject. It makes me long for Spring! |

Wow! What an amazing image capture. I agree with your choice to desaturate everything, remove the tourists and let us focus on the hard colour of the zombie in the front.
I don't know if it's just my computer, but I see a slight greenish tinge at the top of the front zombie's head. If it is indeed there and not just my screen, my suggestion would be to also desaturate that.
A fun and interesting image! |

Hi Cecilia, I like your edited image. Also, I do like your black and white treatment of the tree.
Thank you everyone for the discussion on PSD vs TIFF vs JPG. External printers always ask for JPG, as you said Georgianne.
I always ensure I don't 'save as' when converting to JPG. I always export the file, as I have more control over embedding colour space, etc. It gives me a much better result.
I will, however, talk to the printer about whether he would accept TIFF files. I will also read Kelby's article. |

Hi Connie, I like the way you have treated this image - you've done a great job. I agree with all the above comments - we are all thinking along a similar vein.
I also like your border - it really helps keep my eye in the image. |

Hi Witta, this is a very interesting image and I love the colours. I have also been playing with textures, and you have inspired me!
I quite like the bubbles. In looking at your final image, I wonder what would happen if you masked the bubbles just from the reds in the centre. It might bring a more 3-dimensional effect, with the centre emerging upward. |

Hi Georgianne. I really, really love this image - I keep coming back to it.
I wouldn't change much at all. Especially if you intend to brighten the door, the fence post may just need to be darkened down a little. |

Thanks Cecilia. I agree - the bricks need a more gritty texture. I'll have a play and see what works :) |

Thanks Bunny. I think you and Georgianne are right - lightening the woman's face and hands would help the story. |

Hi Witta - thanks for your suggestions. I hadn't thought about using the liquify tool - I will have a play! |
