Hi Marcella - you have done a great job with the focus stacking. The flower is beautiful.
In my opinion, the flower looks 'lonely' against the expanse of grey card. I personally would try cropping in around the flower. Making the beautiful flower the hero and letting the eye wander around the beautiful detail. |

Monarch butterflies really are beautiful, we have a lot of them around our garden at the moment.
I like that you have captured this one on a flower that contrasts in colour. Your choice of crop is good; I am not distracted by the other plants. |

This is a lovely image, with a good composition. I like the way you have enhanced the old, worn out detail, and that every domino is clearly in focus. |

Hi Jessica, I like your composition and the drama of the finished image in black and white.
I am a little distracted by the hairline crack on the upper left, but I like that you have good contrast drawing the eye back to the object. |

Hi Bunny - what a wonderful image to capture, and I like your interpretation of it.
I am interested in your use of Topaz - thank you for the detail you provided. I must remember to be more detailed in describing my processing in the future.
I use Lightroom and Photoshop as my image processors. I have never used Topaz, but I see many in the group do. Is it something you recommend? Are some of the Topaz products more useful than others? I would be keen to hear what you think from your processing experience. |

Hi Connie, I love the peaceful simplicity of your image. It really suits a black and white treatment. I do like both your version and Witta's - for different reasons. They both tell a different story.
I often end up using my iphone, as it is the camera I always have with me. I have the Halide app, which gives me a RAW image I can do more with. After testing a few apps, I chose Halide for its simplicity. |

Hi Witta, I also love Eva Pollack's work - it is inspirational. As is your image!
I love the minimalism and the colour balance you have chosen.
You have reminded me to try ICM more often - thank you :) |

Hi Georgianne, you have created a lovely image with mood and depth, from one with promise but without that something special.
I agree with Witta in her observations. The light in the sky appears to be coming from the left, yet the light on the tree is on the right. Maybe an area of more colour on the right would be all that is needed.
The blacks brought out by the Pro Contrast layer do make sense, as it is early morning sunrise. I would like to see a little more detail brought out for added interest.
I love what you've done. I replace skies every now and then - but you've inspired me to do it more often, to add to the story. |
