Hi Marcella - what a lovely capture. I like the way you have tilted the image - it makes it interesting. Great clarity and colour - and I love the blurred background. |

What an interesting and imaginative image. I like your application of colour to add another dimension. Having said that, I would be interested to see what it looks like in black and white - you've achieved good contrast and depth, so it could also be a good option. |

Hi Cindy - what a lovely image! The reflection is amazing and the light draws my eye into the beautiful flower itself. I also really like the crop you have used.
The only thing that distracts me slightly is what looks like the sun catching the edge of a leaf in the top left hand corner. Especially as it is so close to the edge. Maybe darkening that a little would lessen the distraction.
A beautiful image. |

Hi Jessica. This is a lovely shot with clarity, depth and dimension. I love the textures of the water drops and in the cactus itself. It's a really interesting shot and one that I keep coming back to.
The only suggestion I can give is to try cropping out the leaves at the bottom, to focus the viewer even more on the beautiful cactus. |

Hi Karl. I like the ice rim that accentuates the shape of the leaf. I agree with Val - it looks like it is floating in space, which adds another dimension to the image. I think part of its beauty is in how you have not been tempted to over-process, but left it quite natural, how we expect to see it.
I do like the patterning on the leaf, and how it matches the textures in the ice. Thank you for posting the second image - they are both wonderful. |

Wow! How amazing to be so close and to capture this shot. I love the variety of textures in the skin, and I am drawn to the slightly off-centre eye. The top skin textures look almost fluid, accentuating the wrinkles around the eye. It's a strong image, and very interesting. |

Hi Susan - I love your interpretation of a Dutch scene with the painterly van Gogh texture. I agree with the comments from Val and Karl, I find my eye is restless through the image. It will be interesting to try their suggestions - I would love to see what your final interpretation is. |

Hi Val, what a great experiment to try, and a lovely, soft, dreamy image. I have only shot multiple exposures put together later in Photoshop - never in camera. You've inspired me to give it a go!
I really like the depth you've achieved in the image - it does justice to the length of the lake and the layers of mountains beyond.
I also like that there is a bit of subtle texture in the sky, hinting at cloud. It adds to the overall effect. |

Hi Judith - I can see why you were drawn to this rose. I spent some time studying it - which means it captured my interest as a viewer.
I think your choice of mono celebrates the form and textures, and the vignette you have applied adds to the depth and dimension. The other thing I really like is that you have retained the softer texture in the petals as a juxtaposition against the skeletal veined texture. |
