I looks like the water is flowing away to me...I hope you were NOT standing in the water as Sherry mentioned and if so...that the drop on the other side was short. :) Definitely a moody image with the mist and overcast hue, muddy stormy waters also.

Thanks Ian!! :) I loved your Sydney Opera House photo from last month. I can see why that is such a draw. Someday we will make the trip down under and see what you are bringing to life in person! |

Cool photo Tony! I spent a lot of hours chasing the small ball back in the day. I would have loved to see the framing a little different on this shot. Basically, the bottom ending a little past the tree reflection and the top including the full tree height to give it balance. The lighting looks a little harsh too - a polarizer might have helped? That said...if you were marshaling I doubt you had time to pull out all your gear. :) |

Hi Oliver,
Thanks for visiting group 73 and for your compliment. I am not a pro in post processing by any means. I shoot in raw and use Lightroom to process so the images look pretty flat beforehand. I start with cropping and straightening and then just play with the various sliders from top to bottom until I think it looks good.
This was taken from a floating dock so I was limited in my approach. Couldn't do long exposure without losing detail.
I do like your processing but I might try to back off the orange and yellow a tad? This is all such personal preference anyway - there are a million ways to slice the onion :) |

Nice image Tuhin! I love the cotton candy effects of the water and sky - nicely done. |

Hi Sherry, beautiful picture. I was playing with a piece of paper and cut off the left 1/4 or so of the image. Curious what you think - for me visually it allowed my eyes to flow from paddle boarders to the sun/raincloud. I did the same with the blue sky as you sggested and thought it brought out a greater moodiness to the cloud formations/image but both were appealing. |
