Thanks Andre, Is is very difficult to get a credential to the World Cup and feel lucky to have had the opportunity. I have taken 14 and 16 year old boys to Rio and Argentina. Not the best fields there either. We played against Botafogo and Vansco and even they were not the best. In Argentina we played on a surface I called Astrophalt, is was made from asphalt. Bruce |

Thanks Don, I mostly shoot at 1/1000 for soccer get good results. Depending on the light, I sometimes go as low as 1/800. Bruce |

Thanks Isaac, I appreciate your title for me as the soccer master. I am thank fortunate to have had the opportunity to get access to many high level games along with playing, coaching, teaching, traveling at a high level. My most important thought on getting great images not only for sport it just being there. Bruce |

Sorry Gerald, Getting old sucks. Here is my 16x9 version. I like the version from Isaac even better, the buildings , especially the one on the left really seem to take away focus on the the riders.Bruce |

Gerald, I like how all the riders are separated, the bright colors on their shirts, and the way you can see the muscle definition. The buildings and wires in the background take away from the impact for my eye. I included a 16x9 ration which eliminates much of the buildings for your consideration.

Sorry I forgot to add my suggestion to your image I thought that cropping a bit from the right and bottom did not remove any important areas and got a bit closer view of the kite surfer. Bruce |

Andre, your images never cease to amaze me. My style is very different in that I want to show the subject close up with no background other that a crowd or other participants. I try to get a connection to the subject, the fear on his face, definition of the muscles, sweat. I want the viewer to wonder what was the result of the situation. You are a very artistic person, and I am not. It is great to see your presentation and learn your story behind the shot. By the way are you a soccer fan? I have taken teams to Rio de Janeiro twice and stayed at Barra Beach. My wife met Zico there playing soccer Volleyball. Bruce |

Isaac, the low perspective makes this an interesting image. Also being able to see the ball is great. Interesting image for those of us with little knowledge of Rugby. Bruce |

Hey Karen, As others have said you captured the moment and your close composition assures that you are not distracted by a wider view. I also agree regarding the bright areas should be darkened a bit. Overall a top image, well done. Looking to seeing more of your images. Bruce |

Maria, A lot to praise with this one, Sharp colorful, nice blurred background eye contact with the wasp, nice composition, perhaps a little tight on the bottom left. I like that you went near your home to find a good photo. Bruce |

Thanks Richard, You comment about lightening the back flipper is why I enjoy being part of this group. There are so many things we can learn from each other I did not even notice the flipper. Thanks for the suggestion, will see what I can do. Bruce |

Richard, Very cute scene with great subjects. I can not see any halos on my screen so can not comment on them. I might suggest a bit tighter crop to emphasize the birds and dodging the highlights in the eye as shown in the adjustments I show. Very nice image, Bruce |

Hey Maria, very nice image with the blurred background making the bird stand out. To my eye a little contrast would make the bird pop off the page. I have attached copy where is darkened the mid tones and a slight vignette. Bruce |

Adrian, Nice image and sparked my attention since I have been photographing hummingbirds lately. Image is sharp, well exposed with a nice pose. I do find the tree truck distraction and have included a 4x3 crop for you consider. Bruce |

Angela, Thanks for your comment, I appreciate you taking the time. Interestingly, My granddaughter texted me and said that she had found it posted by someone on Twitter and called it the Twitter Bird. I looked and found it on seven different sites where someone had used it. I have over one millions files and this is one of my favorite ones. Bruce |
