Andre, kudos to you for trying unusual techniques and scenes. This one is not my favorite of your posts, but still gets my interest. Bruce |

Don, my kind of image telling a great story. While not technically perfect the action and emotion of it makes it a very cool image. Bruce |

Ronald, many things to hold interest in this one. Of course, the jumping player is the main interest. Well done. Bruce |

Maria, I have photographed this variety in South Eastern Idaho and also love the colors. My only suggestion is to get lower so you are not looking down on the ibis. I know this is not always easy or possible to do depending on the situation, but gives a birds eye perspective that is has more impact. Bruce |

Hey Karen, just thought I would add this to my earlier comments. I learned a long time ago from a prominent landscape photographer that it is as important what you do not include in the image as what you do, make sure you look at several versions of crops before you decide on the final version. Thanks Maria, I like your suggestion to crop the green area at the top of the frame. I left it in because I thought it gave a little depth to the image. Bruce |

Hey Karen a real wall hanger here. I do like the version by Isaac, because to my eye the top third does not add any interest and is quite bright distracting from the beautiful giraffe. Of course you are the maker and what you see is the most important. I tend to crop very close to make the subject more important in the frame. I have photographed several times in Uganda and also in Massi Mara. The Ugandan giraffes are a rare species known as Rothchild and are very beautiful, Bruce |

Hey Richard Nice capture, with great timing. I also like Karen's idea of a vertical crop for you to consider since it focuses more on the bird. Bruce |

Thanks Richard, I did not have to get wet, I was able to stand on the shore, The bears are all over and are very tolerant of people, they just ignore you. There was even a fisherman in the the water with it that I cropped out. Bruce |

Thanks Isaac, I was lucky to go to Brooks Falls five years in a row before it was totally crowded. It is also very expensive to stay in the cabins, I think $600 per night with a three night minimum. The cabins are aroungd 8'x10' with bunk beds. I was able to camp of 10 days at a time for approximately $350 minus airfare. I ate breakfast in the lodge and skipped lunch with dinner at the campground. I am two old now for camping so have to be happy with my thousands of images of bears. I have also been to Halo Bay and Kinak Bay which are both part of Katmai NP. I feel blessed to have had the opportunities to have world class bear photography experiences. Brudce

Thanks for your kind words Karen, I was on land and was at he beginning of the Brooks river right where it leaves the Brooks lake. As I recall, there was a bend in the river so I could shoot straight on. Brooks is an amazing place to photograph grizzly bears, you can see and photograph dozens each day. They are very used to people and there are platforms where you can shoot very close up images with fish in their mouth. It is difficult to get reservations with a two year wait but well worth it for an easy terrain. Bruce |

Maria, your image is technically very good with exposure, sharpness, blurred background and composition spot on. For my eye though there is is not connection to the viewer because the bee is hidden in the flower. I do not mean to be negative but for me there needs to be more of a connection with the subject to keep interest. Bruce |

Adrian, excellent image of a natural wonder showing two species during their migration to find grass. This is an image I would love to get but have not seen it on my several trips to Africa. Your choice to convert to black and white is xcellent. The animals form an interesting v shape and the dust masking the trailing animals also makes it more dramatic. Very nice image. Bruce. |

Sanat, Very interesting capture of and unusual moment in nature. The image makes the viewer wonder how it turned out of the snake. I agree that the crop should leave more room on the right giving the bird room to move into the frame. Bruce |

Hey Jerry, egrets and ibis always make interesting subjects, Flipping the image and cropping out fourth bird was a good move. The image is sharp and well exposed. I love photographing in Florida except for all the stupid toll roads.
