Barbara interestingly, a coopers hawk just caught a pigeon at my feeders and is feasting on it. Bruce |

Hey Chris, The wasp reminds me of the creatures in the Sifi movie "Them". Your choice to use a low perspective really makes it stand out. Thanks for sharing this. Bruce |

Isaac, I always seeing images of Hippo Potomus as they call them in Africa. I have tried to get them with their mouths wide open and fighting but never had a good opportunity to catch them before. Your image is very small on my laptop so it is difficult to see any detail so will not comment on it. Bruce |

Adrian, great image of the humpback tail. The water coming of the tail and the seagull really add a lot to the image. I might suggest cropping just a bit off of the left side. I live a few miles from the Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and had both humpback and orca whale near me all winter and spring. I was able to get a few images of them but they were quite far away to get any good ones from the shore. Bruce |

Barbara, The Coopers Hawk is quite common here in Washington state, and they come to my yard about every six weeks to hunt birds at my feeders. I have only seen them be successful once. I made your crop a square to place more emphasis on the hawk, added a little contrast and dodged the highlights in the eye for you to look at. Thanks for sharing this one, Bruce |

Maria, Very interesting post with this one. I watched some of these in Germany a few years ago, At least I think they were the same. I increased the contrast a bit and cropped some of the right side a bit to emphasize the moth. Nice image of an unusual subject. Bruce |

Marge, I add my congrats to the others on your showcase image. I have visited Blue Cypress lake several times to photograph Ospreys so always enjoy seeing others images of them. I would also recommend a tighter crop to make the bird stand out, perhaps taking a bit off of the right side would work without impacting the nest. Bruce |

Steve, Swans always make a great subject. Here in Washington State they are difficult because they are always sticking their heads into the mud so have muddy faces. You caught a nice pose and good exposure. Bruce |
