Isaac. The expressions on the horsed faces and the four hooves in the air make this one for me. Good image Bruce |

Ron, I really like this image, the lighting is awesome, the dark background makes the subject stand out, the position of the subjects eyes, the color sharpness, the bat and ball all add up to a great image. Once in a while things just work out. Bruce |

Adrian, cool capture , one you do not see everyday. To me it looks pretty good considering the large crop. The bird is a little dark, but the unusual subject makes it a nice image.

Barbara, very nice image of the house finch. They are common here in Washington State. I like the perch and background and agree with Adrian to crop so the bird has space to look into the frame. I added a little contrast by using the dehaze filter a bit. Bruce |

Maria, That grasshopper better be on the lookout for fish. I might suggest cropping out some from both the top and bottom to focus more on the subject and both are not in focus to do not really seem to add anything of interest . Bruce |

Isaac, Your image documents the harsh nature of wildlife. Not the image everyone wants to hang on their wall, but still interesting to see. I have a similar image from my trip to Masai Mara. |

Marge, a nice sanderling image with great leg position and nice reflection. Cindy made a nice observation about the reflection. A little lower perspective might make it little better composition. I am hoping to get to Florida in the next few weeks but not sure I will be able to arrange it this year. It is one of my favorite places to photograph. Bruce |

Jerry, Nice image of the cattle egret. They are really pretty this time of year. I like the way the background frames the bird, and it is nice and sharp. Well done. I am trying to book a trip to Florida in the next two weeks, but am having difficulty getting the airfare from Seattle down enough plus car rentals are sky high along with motel rooms, so might not make it this year. I have been there many times arriving in Orlando, staying one night at Viera Wetlands then visiting Merritt Island in the afternoon then on to the Alligator Farm in St Augustine. After about three days there it is on to Cape Coral for burrowing owls, then on to FT Desoto State park before heading back to Seattle.

Adrian, you timed this one perfectly. With a little more light This would be a perfect image. I think you got the best image possible with the low light you were in. I great place to see and photograph pelicans is La Jolla, California in February. They are in full breeding colors and all over the place. You can stand on a bluff and photograph them coming in to land only a few yards away. There are also seals and sea lions having their babies right were you can observe them. |

Cindy, The golden light is called golden for a good reason, The perch, composition, pose and light all add up to an excellent image. I might suggest adding just a bit of saturation and contrast as shown, Bruce |
