Hey Isaac, I use the Canon 70-200 2.8 along with Canon 400 2.8 for longer distance shots. |

Hey Don, nice action shot with a story that keeps you looking with lots of action and wondering if it was really a penalty. All players and the ball are sharp with sidelines nicely blurred. I did straighten the horizon and cropped just a bit off the right side to see if you like that. Bruce |

Hans, I like everything about your image but would like to see one two-three seconds earlier to get a better view of the horses and riders faces. All eight legs in the air really add interest along with the dramatic clouds and great detail on the horses legs and muscles. Bruce |

Thanks Isaac, I am always amazed at the courage the clowns show at rodeos. Bruce |

Isaac, Nice action with this image, I like the way the goal keeper is in the background. The two players are both sharp and the shirt pulling adds interest. An experienced player at this age would have kept his arm close so the referee could not see the shirt being pulled. With Youth soccer it is hard to avoid having distracting items like cars Porta Potties, garbage cans and parents. I always shoot at 2.8 and at with the players close it helps to blur the background more. Bruce |

Gerry, An excellent image with a great subject. This is also an excellent example of a picture in a picture. Perhaps cropping it would reduce the resolution to much but I took out the leg of the dad and made it a vertical just to see what it looks like to focus more on the young boy. Bruce |

Isaac, I believe this is an Eastern Bluebird. They do usually do have nice blue colors but some of my images they do have muted colors, and not sure if they are just not mature, or why they are lighter. Here is one of mine that don't show much blue. Bruce |

Thanks Isaac, I have to admit I was using a tripod with a gimble head, even in my younger days I had trouble hand holding an 800. It is indeed a difficult task to shoot IFS with the 800, just finding them in the frame is hard and even harder keeping them in frame when the quickly change direction or dive to get a vole. There are quite a few northern harrier hawks in this area and the cover huge distances going back and forth across the hunting area. Bruce |

Isaac, what a great wildlife image. I have seen many images with oxpeckers, but never one with the bird standing on the lower lip. The buffalo is great as well with a blurred background. It is very sharp with no distracting items. Just for fun, I might try this on in black and white. Bruce |

Adrian, Very interesting image, I do not like to put my head into water so underwater is not going to happen. The fish adds interest and the muted color is also nice. Not sure if it might work to add a little contrast to made the turtle pop a bit. If you are in Florida and have time, There are several very good spots to photograph birds near Cape Canaveral. First is Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, a seven mile loop drive through wetlands: Second, Viera Wetlands, a water treatment area that has three wetland areas that are filled with birds. They are both close to Cape Canaveral.

Leah, I love driving around places like this just looking for interesting subjects to photograph, like this one. I really like it a lot. I might suggest stepping a bit to the right to help eliminate some of the branches hanging into the frame and composing so you still get two sides of the building and still moving it out of the center. This will also eliminate some of the space that is not really adding to the image. Over all a very nice image, and will look forward to see more like it. Bruce |

Maria, Another great image this month, Interesting subjects, nice reflection, nice color. I might suggest cropping a bit to eliminate the negative space and focus on the bugs. Bruce |

Barbara, A wonderful image caught at just the right moment. Details in the underside of the wings and tree are awesome. Background is perfect. You hit this one out of the park.

Steve, congratulations on the quick sale of this image. I like your square crop as it eliminates some of the branches and focuses on the birds. You nailed a difficult exposure with white heads and dark bodies I was lucky to have the opportunity to visit the eagle lady for five years in Homer Alaska. She was feeding weak and injured eagles during the harsh Alaskan winters for more that twenty years. I was very new to photography so wasted many chances to get life long best eagle shots. Here in Washington state We have and area loaded with eagles. I counted over 120 in just one visit. Bruce |

Sanat, You have shown us a very interesting bird since there is nothing like it in the USA. It is very sharp with a non distracting background. There is nice detail in the feathers. As a suggestion, I cropped your image as a vertical to eliminate some of the areas that are empty and are not really adding anything to the interest and focus more on the bird. Bruce |

Jerry, The Alligator farm is one of my favorite places to go in Florida. The only bad thing is trying to focus on one subject and not get distracted, and getting around all of the photographers. Getting the photo pass helps so you can get in early and beat all the tourists. I have been there many times and look forward to visiting in late April of early May. I do not like the road tolls .
You PP is good with excellent wing tip replacement and branch removal. As Sunat mentioned you would not be able to enter this in Nature or wildlife PSA sections. |

Cindy, My goal as a photographer is to make simple subjects stand out. You have accomplished this with a blurred background, great detail, nice color and composition, with a sharp subject. Well done. Bruce |
