Thanks Ronald, I have a love hate relationship with the R-3, On the one hand the image quality is remarkable, on the other hand, the manual is over 1000 pages and it seems difficult to know where to make the adjustments I am used to with the 1DX and other single reflex cameras. It is frustrating to have a great opportunity and not be able to quickly find where to make the needed adjustments. Bruce |

Hey Don, Welcome the Group 59, it is great to see another soccer person in the group. I hope you can enjoy the posts by everyone and also learn from them. Your first image caught the peak action which is the most important in sports photography. It shows a story that the viewer wants to see more of and keeps interest. Most sports photographers like to see a tight crop to focus on the action so I tried cropping to a vertical format and adjusted the shadows a bit using camera raw in photoshop. Of course, the choice is always up the to person who took the photo. Again welcome to the group Bruce |

Hey Gerry, AS I noted regarding your post last month, you are a master of the surf, and it appears also a master of the Kayak as well. Your images always show great action and composition. They make you want to know how the situation turn out with the next few frames. Bruce |

Hey Kerry, It is nice to see you an interest in rodeo as I do. I visited a rodeo to try out my new Canon R-3 camera last fall not realizing how many frames per second it was shooting. After two days I came home with 14,000 images since it was shooting at 32 frames per second. I had the sound of the shutter turned of so could not hear what was happening. I like the action of the horse and flying dirt, however not sure what is going on with the cow and the other cows in the background. Bruce |

Isaac, I hope you had a great time in Spain while I was in Florida. I took soccer teams to San Sebastion Which is near Bilboa and loved it there. Several of my posts on this forum have been from there. Your image is sharp and does show the coordination of the team. I might suggest cropping out he top inch to eliminate the geometric patterns on the bank. Just of your information, I ran into Erik Rosengren at the Alligator farm, an he spoke very highly of you as a photographer and friend. Bruce |

Hey Hans, As Isaac said, field hockey is not a very well know sport here in the USA. As a physical education teacher, my students really enjoyed playing it. I always presented many different sports for my students to experience. Your image shows good action and is sharp with vivid color. I like the onlooking goalkeeper. The distractions in the background are unavoidable at your location. I am always impressed with the variety of your images. Bruce |

Thank you Maria, I like your crop , it eliminates some of the buildings in the background and focuses more on the flowers. Bruce |

Thanks Barbara, The Skagit Valley in Northern Washington is a wonderful area for both flowers in the spring, but also wildlife in the winter including swans, eagles, snow geese, even owls. Bruce |

Mary, I agree with Barbara and Isaac and prefer the color version. Barbara's version also eliminates the bright sky in the background without eliminating any important things. Bruce |

G=Hey Barbara, Your bear provided you with a really cute pose, and was nice enough to look right at you as you took the photo. It is really sharp, nice composition and blurred background . Your exposure is spot on, I have always found it difficult to photograph black bears, because even though they are black, the fur is really reflective. Bruce |

Hey Adrian, You are really lucky to see some many unusual animals and places. Thanks for sharing this bird to the group. The whites also seem to be blown out on my screen with no information to adjust. Bruce |

Maria, It is not an easy task to get a swallow in flight, especially as it is dipping the beak into the water. Well done. I like the changes Isaac made. You might try using a little dehaze filter in camera raw as well to add some contrast. Bruce |

Marie, I also enjoy photographing GBH. They always seem to produce an interesting behavior . The changes Isaac made seem to be spot on to make the image better especially adding canvas to the left so the bird has room to move into. Bruce |
