Thanks Ronald, Those posts seem to show up at the worst time along with porta potties and garbage cans. Bruce |

Thanks Isaac, good observation on the horizon. I have been having a serious case of Floridaitis, Air fares have risen so much along with gas, motel and car rental, I have not been able to justify it yet. Bruce |

Kerry, A big welcome to the sports photography group 59. I hope you enjoy the interaction, and comments from the others in the group. You have started with a really impressive image. The unusual crop with no opponent showing and top of the head missing makes the image more interesting for me. I like the black and white treatment as well. The definition of he muscles in the arm are impressive. Looking forward to seeing more of your images. Your bio sounds like you have an interesting life. Bruce |

Ronald, I also like the B&W version. Almost every element is of interest, even the arm and hand reaching into the frame from the right side. I agree with Hans that the blacks could be lightened a bit. Really cool image. Bruce |

Wow, Isaac, you caught the perfect moment to push the shutter button. Overall sharpness is good considering the shutter speed. I don't mind the blurred face since it adds to the pain inflicted. Dark background is nice to avoid distractions. Well done. Bruce |

Gerald, I really like the symmetry of the cycles and being able to see the determined looks on their faces. I think it would make the frame to tight to crop out the pole and photographer. Bruce |

Hans, Nice action image with several interesting interactions. Love the looks on the faces. People in the background are a little distracting but being blurred helps. Well deserved HM award. My son just arrived from Frankfurt for a business meeting in Utah so am glad to see him. It looks like Germany got a good draw at the World Cup. Bruce |

Thanks Mary, This image was taken in 2005 with the Canon 300D with only 6 megapixles. The noise at ISO 1600 was high so faster shutter speed was not an option. If I were to crop off the water at the bottom the wings would be clipped so would also not work. Thanks for your suggestions. Bruce |

Isaac, You captured a really nice scene with leading lines of the vines and bonus of the sheep. I like your crop and the way the trees in the background form a crescent shape. Bruce |

Adrian, lucky you to get to Costa Rica three times. It is a great place to photograph birds. Your image is sharp, well composed, nice blurred background and pretty bird. I do agree with Isaac, that the flower obstructing the bird distracts from the image. It would be a really strong image if the bird was below the flower looking to feed in the blossoms. Still a nice image. Bruce |

Marie, Hoodies are one of my favorite ducks to photograph. I love the way they can manipulate their white head feathers. Your image is nice and sharp with a great take off . I love it. Bruce |

Mary, I can see why this is one of your favorites. I really like it. The way the bushes and trees are placed it draws me eye right through the image. The clouds are great as well and your choice of F 19 gave good sharpness throughout the image. Well done. Bruce |

Randy, You captured a nice moment between the two Cardinals. On my screen, the colors are way off especially the female which is showing up as blue. There is even some blue showing up in the male. My monitor may be off so not showing the true picture. Bruce |
