Thanks Gerald, I was surprised that they used it for the cover story and image. The printed version looks a lot better than the PDF. Bruce I noticed that you have some images accepted in the Nature/Wildlife section of the Sam Circuit. I am thinking of entering this one. Bruce |

Gerald, Color, muscle detail, splashing water all add interest. I do agree that more of the canoe would be nice. That was my first thought when I saw the image. Bruce |

Hey Ron, I am familiar with Australian rules football and rugby as well. I am always amazed at the size of the field. Soccer in the USA has exploded especially with the success of the women in the world cup. Your crop has eliminated distractions and I like the expressions on several players faces. Bruce |

Hans, Not sure if this works but thought I would try a square crop even though it eliminates some of the third player. He is slightly cropped anyway so just thought I would try it. I like how you can seen the faces of all the players and even the official. Nice capture. Bruce |

Adrian, for me the second crop from Isaac is the most effective because it draws attention to the the large lion and not the background and trees. I like the soft pastel color as well. Bruce |

Isaac, You image brought back memories of past trips to Katmai. Even the Seagull in the frame. My last trip to Kinak Bay had thousands of gulls making it almost impossible to keep them out of the image. The rocks add interest and context to what the bears have to deal with. I have to go along with Bev Caine about wish I was there. Can't wait to see more of your bear images. Bruce |

Marie, what a beautiful image. You captured a great scene. My only suggestion would be to dodge the light rocks on the left side, to my eye they seem do draw my attention away from the scene. Well done. Bruce |

Mary, I also really like the unusual perspective. I have never been to Niagara falls. Your composition keeps the eye in the frame with no distraction elements. Well done. Bruce |
