Hans, I actually like the way the Kayak is totally submerged, because it adds to the tension. Bruce |

Dan, I missed your post until now so glad I checked back. I look for my images to tell a story and brings the viewers attention to it. You have really caught my attention with the obvious pain in his face. The bandage on his arm, and the ice bag also add interest. Well done. Bruce |

Hi Gerald, your kayak images are very dramatic and interesting to view. The bright colors of the Kayak and the man draw your eye to them . I agree with Hans that it would do well in PJ but not in PID. Your description of the flip is also interesting to know. Bruce |

Hans, You image is interesting, even without any details showing of the person. Your composition leaves room for movement through the frame. I never shot slides and only started doing photography when digital came out. I can really appreciate your skill to capture this . Bruce |

Mary, I nearly missed your image this month, so glad I checked back today. You certainly have an artistic flair which I am lacking in my images. I have also been to Costa Rica and really enjoyed the hummingbirds there. Your second post helps with the bright areas. Bruce |

Thanks Mary, These waves only appear after a winter storm so you have to time it just right, with the tide, weather, and size of waves. Bruce |

Thanks Adrian, I checked out the rachaeltailbart website, she has some great images. I have been back to Cape Disappointment again and got many other interesting images. I am culling through the last 300 now to pick out the best.Bruce |

Hi Randy, Wow the image is really sharp and full of detail. Really cool pose and the color in the eyes is awesome I like the black background. You did a good job on the edges. It does appear a little strange that the head is floating in darkness, so might try leaving a vague hint of some of the background close to the head. Bruce |

Thanks Mari, I went back to Cape Disappointment yesterday and took 3,400 images. After first cull, still kept 2,000. What a place to see even if you do not take any photographs. The waves were only half as high as my first trip on Monday but still created dramatic images sometime a loud boom followed by the wave exploding like fireworks shooting upward. I can not believe I have lived here for 45 years and still did not know about it. You have to time your visit with a big storm, good light and a big tide at the right time of day to see this. Bruce |

Walt, another great image. I look forward to seeing your post every month and have not been disappointed yet. I can see why it got a perfect score. Was this from the Sunrise side? You were lucky to have great flowers. I can not really find anything to make it better. Bruce |

Adrian, lucky you to have such a great safari. I like the way the big trees frame the elephants and the environment is interesting. The image is quite busy and and the elephants are pretty small in the frame plus one of them is a bum shot. Overall I like the image. Bruce |

Mari, sorry this one is not one of my favorites of your many great posts. I am having trouble finding a subject in the busy jumble of the area. I have been trying to photograph in some woodlands and having the same problem. Here in Washington state the trees covered with moss make a wonderful subject, but the areas are covered with mass small trees, vines, and other veru distracting vegetation. I do like your choice to use black and white. Sorry to be negative but want to give my honest feedback. Bruce |

Isaac, a real winner for nature images. The cub adds a lot to the appeal. Does not look like much of a meal, but better than nothing. Your crop is just right and it is quite sharp considering being on a zodiac. A boost of saturation to bring out the green might give it a bit more pop.
