Phil, having gone through many tryouts in my years being the last one cut from my high school basketball team , not making the third team of my first university soccer team and having run many tryouts as a soccer coach for many years, your image is interesting to see all of the hopefuls in your image. I might suggest cropping out the person behind the coach and the exit sign. Bruce |

Brenda, I like your image with lots of action. Your exposure is right on and the image is sharp. To bad about the cars in the background but not much you can do about that. I cropped the image to eliminate the girl on the left for an alternate version. Bruce |

Gerald, Action is the word for this one. Should do well in competition. Your crop looks good and everything is right technically. The image makes you want to see more and see if he made it without falling. For me this is one of your best offerings in the group. Bruce |

Hey Karl, I really like this image. The dustand tilt of the cycle really make this one. Also like the muted face of the rider. I do not mind the rear tire being cropped since the dust covers that area, Well done. Bruce |

Hey Hans, Welcome to our group. Really good action, you caught with this one. I might suggest leaving just a bit more space in the top of the frame since the players head almost converges with the top. The 300 2,8 lens is one of Canons sharpest lenses. Have you tried using a 1.4 or 2X TC? I shoot with a 400 2.8 and it does really well with either. I have several friends who shoot wildlife with the 300 2.8 and 2X TC, in fact one of them won the Audubon national photo contest using that combination. She won $5000. By the way, I have a son also named Hans living in Frankfurt. He is a partner in a global immigration firm and is the head of the European area. We are Foosball fans and have been to Germany many times and even watched them win the 1990 WC final at a friends haus in a small town named Bushelberg. My son was only ten years old at the time. I am looking forward to see more of your images and perhaps we can meet when things get back to normal and I come to visit him in Frankfurt. Bruce |

Walt, excellent image of the milky way and Mt.Rainier. I have a similar image for several years ago. Your exposure is good for the whites. Rainier always makes a great subject. Bruce |

Hi Mary, Your image showsthe extreme conditions in Yellowstone very well. I The blue cast makes the feeling of cold stand out. I think your idea of something in between is good. You were the one who experienced it so your choice. I have traveled to Yellowstone three times in the winter but was limited to the road between Gardener and Cook city so was not able to use a snow cat. Yellowstone is truly a wonder of the world. Hey Isaac, I was supposed to be arriving home from Florida right now but had to cancel for reasons you will understand. I love Viera Wetlands and have a similar image of a GBH with a huge fish from there. Really good timing on this one. It appears to need a little more contrast on my screen.

Adrian, Really nice image of Bryce Canyon. You do not see many vertical images from there. I like how it shows how deep it is with all of the details. Your PP is good and the colors are perfect for there. I might suggest cropping the very top of the image a bit, just a thought. I have been fortunate to visit all of the places you mentioned with my brother who has a masters degree in Archaeology worked in Monument Valley for the State of Utah before joining the Air force many years ago. Marie, lucky you getting to visit Italy. What a nice scene. Good job with the ski lift and posts. Can't wait to get away from the house. I have a son who lives in Frankfut Germany and have not been able to visit him since he move from California two years ago. I have trips planned to Kenya, Uganda and others as soon as possible. I might suggest a little dodging on the front side of the cabin to bring out a little detail. Bruce |
