Thanks Gerald, sometimes our closeness to an image can influence the choice of what we think of the image, and not always to the good. We don't take into consideration that others have not seen what the image means in our eyes. Thanks for your comments and keeping me aware of this. I coached and played soccer at a high level for many years and took over 1,000 young players around the world to international tournaments. Some of the tournaments had as many as 1,500 teams from 90 countries. I always injoy seeing your images and comments. Bruce |

Gearld, thanks for you comment. I expected to hear that the official in the frame would be distracting. It must just be a quirk of mine, I have several images with the official in them. The action signals the possibility of a foul being called and the official in the frame draws attention to that possibility. The bright shirt is certainly a factor. Your point is well taken. Bruce |

Gerald, I like the horizontal view, however you lose the vertical aspect of the planes flying straight up, so would probably chose that one. Certainly worth entering either PJ or PID. I also have the 7D and 100-400 combo which is awesome. Bruce |

Karl, I love the look on the face of the player with the ball. You got good exposure considering the time of day. I don't care for the garbage can or the tourist bike in the background but not sure how you could crop to avoid them without clipping some of the side action Bruce |

Phil, Your image is technically great with good action and subject. To bad about the truck but not much control over that.
I have shot barrel races at a local rodeo and found them very challenging. Well done Bruce |

Adrian, My first glance at this one made me dizzy. converting to Monochrome, seems to make the busy grass and weeds stand out more so I actually like the color version better. The three zebras at the bottom make another image. The arrangement of all the other animals all looking away or facing different directions is distracting to me and increased by all of the stripes. On my monitor the first three on the bottom are sharp but the last one is not. Bruce |

Walt, I agree with the comments of the others, It appears to me that there is a slight halo on the edge of the mountain created by PP. I also like the crop that Isaac did. Bruce |

Mary, what a contrast between the interior and exterior . Nik Define really did a nice job on the noise. Did you try the lens distorcion tool in camera raw? Colors are amazing I might try toning down the bright window on the left. Well done, Bruce |

Isaac, I really like the different layers in this one, the early morning light adds to the mood of the image as well. Well done. Bruce |
