Jeffery, You made some good points, especially cropping out the whole foot. Thanks, Bruce |

Choice of newspaper look was good, and you really got the intensity of the scene. Muscle definition is great. Low perspective and intensity on faces really make this one. Well done. |

You really got the peak action in this one. I prefer the original version because it give you perspective of how high the surfer is. Should be fine for PJ/sports entry. |

Lack of crowd does not bother me, I like the close up which shows the tension on the girls face. Timing was spot on. |

Great job of panning, the car is super sharp.I am not sure I care for he angle adjustment. I like the car being raked as we called it when I was in high school., but horizon does not seem right. I even lowered the front end of my 56 Chevy. Dark background makes the car pop. |

I agree with Bob that the black and white is better. Love the intensity on the faces and the headlock on the guy in back. The mud reminds me of many soccer games here in Seattle, and really adds to the image. I also agree with Bob that this is a strong image but composition keeps it from being great. |

Nat, I agree with Isaac on his comments and like the changes he made to the image. The area on the lower edge of the flowers is blown out so there is no detail to recover. The dark background makes the subject stand out.Your composition is good on this one. Bruce |

Kent, nice image northern shovelers. Nice and sharp throughout and well composed. I like the subtle vignette, focusing in the birds. For wildlife, I like to crop a little closer since the background does not add much to the image. You might even try a square format. |

Sometimes less is more. Very simple image is very pleasing leaving us to all make our conclusions of how this happened. I like it. |

Mary, Hello from me, my first opportunity to comment on your images. I did not have a chance to photograph monkeys on my trip to Costa Rica but did see some from a distance. It is tough to photograph anything standing in a tree without having a bright background behind the subject and you did a good job eliminating the sky, Isaac's suggestion to crop some of the upper part would also increase focus on the monkey. I also like the pose but image would have more impact if there was some eye contact. |

Abhigeet, I am lucky to have photographed Rhinos in Kenya but find them difficult to make stand out since they pretty much just walk around and eat grass unless you are lucky to see some unusual behavior or aggression. I also thinks all or nothing in this case. and don't think a vignette is needed here. |

Vic, thanks for the feedback, My brother is in Bosque del Apache right now and he reports plenty of birds however, they are not very easy to get to. Best opportunities have been at Bernardo about 20 miles north of Socorro. Hope you have good luck. |

Wow, Isaac, what a great image. Nice job on bringing out the shadows, highlights and saturation. You have cropped it just right. I really like the eye in the white dog and the intensity on it's face. The cracks in the ice add interest and show how cold it was My only suggestion would be a light vignette around the corners to focus the eye on the subjects. Overall a great image. |
