Amazing is an understatement. You have created a dream like image which appears real. Perhaps it's depth leading from the coals to fire, to neck, to face and hair with a mystical capture of the eye. |

Congrats on getting so close but stymied by the distance of subject to background. Great handling in Photoshop. However I think there is relatively too much space behind the bird and would crop or add space in front with content aware for a great pictorial bird portrait. Careful of getting too close because of stories of defensive aggression by owls. We have a photographer here who lost an eye due to an encounter with an owl. |

The waterfall is the most striking part of the image, perhaps because it has character and is uniquely small but originating from the beautiful stream trickling down the hill. So I would use the suggestions to lead the eye to it including darkening the rocks on the left slightly. |

Wonderful and concept and perspective of two poignant moments in time! Somehow going back to the original with additional space on the right and left is more appealing - perhaps minus the candle. |

Thanks for all your comments. It must have rained because of the mud on the fore foot. |
