Great capture, and from your description, during the golden hour. Perfect settings and timing to make him look ready for the next punch - perhaps giving us the message to live "the counter punch" with full potential! |

Impactful image on immediate impression - it was definitely worth the early expedition! The image draws the eye to the sun with diagonal lines along the mountains and mist. On looking at it a bit longer I felt curious about what is on the mountains - there are small lights possibly suggesting someone is waking up early or having breakfast at a camp-fire. Did you try some de-shadowing? But only slightly I think. |

You have captured beauty in the portrayal of nascence in the budding irises. I am fascinated by your approach to the subject and choices. My neighbor, a lawyer, has been given a "field" of irises by a client and I usually have permission to shoot in the spring! In past years the background has been a problem since it is a crowded situation and often quite windy, but you have retained a natural effect. I don't see the vignette, but would probably try to darken some of the background and add contrast to the subject. |

Congratulations on a picture with immediate impact capturing parallel lines, including parking lines on the road, and framing the family in the smoke. The blend of red, purple blue and yellow characterizes the tradition. I like the negative space on the left and think the crop is right on. |

Greetings! I have always thought infrared is a fascinating way to go but with a separate camera which I don't have. I tried infrared simulation by going to adjustments in photoshop to use the color panel to bring down the greens and yellows and increase the blues, however the black and white invert option was much more impressive after flattening and then going to CR for minor adjustments. |
